Highlights of this weeks cup games are on the BBC at 11.30, should be worth a watch as there's been some great games.

What happened to him being farmed out to Reading then? Hope this gives him a second chance with di Matteo.

It was a good finish, he deserved some playing time in the prem.

It was a good finish, he deserved some playing time in the prem.

It was a Carling Cup game  - you know the cup most of the bigger clubs user their reserve teams for - so remains to be seen if he is used for prem games, I don't think he has been making the bench recently though

It was past Shay Given (one of the best premiership keepers), so I would say Coxy has given Di Matteo a gentle reminder of what he can do.

Yeah I spoke to a couple on the train into Birmingham last weekend and they love him. Said he's the most natural finisher they've got.

Got a mate who's a baggies fan and he could never work out why Cox doesn't play more. He hated Cox when they first got him, but then loved him and couldn't understand why Luke Moore was picked over him.

It's bad times if Luke Moore is getting picked ahead of you

Cox is only young....no experience in the prem at all.
In my opinion hes being handled well......he will get his chance.

West Brom have loaned out Simon Wood, so probably unlikely they'd let Cox go as well.

I've never understood why he doesn't get more game time, he's got a pretty good scoring record for them and everyone seems to rate him highly. You'd have thought they'd give him a chance as if he can do a job for them it could be the different between them staying up or going down.

Have any other Metro readers noticed one of sports editors is a town fan.  We often get a mention in the Final Third bit on a Friday morning.  May be why coxy got half a page?

This weeks Final Third in the Metro had a bit about the 6-4 win at birmingham and how it was better than Preston v Leeds.  Nice to see us getting a regular mention in Britain's 3rd biggest paper from what seems like a decent reporter.
