Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: thedarkprince on Friday, September 3, 2010, 20:10:52 That looks like Dawson's done some ligament damage. Do Spurs have any fit centre backs these days?

Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, September 3, 2010, 21:45:53 GOAL 3-0, Johnson.
I think my TV has a bit of a delay. Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: reeves4england on Friday, September 3, 2010, 21:47:23 Seeing as nobody has got there yet, GOAL 4-0. Defoe hat-trick. And he's off injured.
Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, September 3, 2010, 21:51:36 Glen Johnson really is a poor excuse of a footballer. I think he's just constantly out of position.
Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: chalkies_shorts on Friday, September 3, 2010, 21:57:05 France 0 Belarus 1
Portugal 4 Cyprus 4 Also nice to see the Jocks fuck it up again. Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: Bennett on Friday, September 3, 2010, 22:12:49 Estonia are beating Italy 1-0. Brilliant stuff. stupid Eesti conceeding 2 :(Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: jb on Friday, September 3, 2010, 22:49:01 I think Milner's abillity to play all across the midfield is ace. One minute he'll be left wing the next he'll be on the right.
Adam Johnson also looked class again. Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, September 3, 2010, 23:00:49 Roaming is all well and good, but if you're going to have one of your midfield four you need to be confident at least one of your midfielders is disciplined enough to then just sit and hold his position. We don't have any of them. This causes us all sorts of troubles in the WC. Gareth Barry is not a holding midfielder, and england will always struggle against the better sides if we play with the system we played today. We got away with it because bulgaria aren't much cop, but even then they created a fair amount of chances second half.
It was much the same in qualifying for the world cup, although it was glossed over because we seemed so good. we kept three clean sheets i think in the whole of the qualifying campaign, and two of those were against andorra. We can't afford to be so poor at the back, capello needs to make that side tougher to break down, even if it means we sacrifice some attacking flair Title: Re: Friday night Internationals Post by: jb on Friday, September 3, 2010, 23:11:42 Roaming is all well and good, but if you're going to have one of your midfield four you need to be confident at least one of your midfielders is disciplined enough to then just sit and hold his position.
