Since I read that article on him doing things in third world countries and not trying to get anything out of it I quite liked him. OK, so I read about it in the media, but the fact that few people know about it and he's not telling everyone, shows he's not after publicity or good PR, he's just doing what he feels is good. I don't mind Bellamy. I think a lot of people jump on the bandwagon and hate him without any real justification, though that approach is nothing new.

His quotes on the BBC piece do lack perspective though, particularly:

Bellamy is a cardiff boy anyway isnt he? and if you read about his life outside of football he is one of the only footballers who really doesnt give a toss about the money, he gives a lot away to various charities. so going to cardiff to help he grew up supporting would be great.

You have to question the state of the English game when a club like Cardiff narrowly escape a winding up order and administration, and just a week or so later are preparing to sign Craig Bellamy. If the rumour that City are paying all of his wages are true then what i've said is bullshit, but it still raises questions.

That said, i support the move, i honestly think what Bellamy's doing is for the good of the game. He can be a cunt and a prick and a twat, but the way he wears his heart on his sleeve, alot of players could learn from him.

The same could be said for Notts County after their failed takeover saga which apparently left them in shit loads of debt but signed a whole host of players close season.

It shouldnt make any difference if Cardiff are forking out for his wages or not, if they owe money to other clubs they should be under a transfer embargo until the money is paid.

The same should apply if they owe taxes aswell. That would be a far better way to stop clubs getting into debt than any points deductions.

FL now refusing to ratify the loan deal wanting more details of Cardiff's financial's - FL CE was on SSN talking about it and then Cardiff release a statement basically saying how dare he talk about us in public before talking to us - I hope they refuse the loan due to payments to other clubs owed and they have already admitted they expect another transfer embargo so they must be behind on other debts as well..pay your bills first

I don't want to be a pedantic twat - but I am, so that's how it comes across.  Reeves did indeed play many a dodgy backpass in his time, but on this particular ocassion I'm sure the culprit was Sol Davis.
