If you get one with separate cartridges (mine takes six) you can replace them dirt cheap from superinks.co.uk
Title: Re: all in one printer Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, August 8, 2010, 17:27:47 I've had three - Lexmark was shit, Epsom was better but the ink was a rip-off and only lasted a week at a time.
We've now got a Brother MFC-5890CN and it's really good. The ink last for ages and the scanner and fax seem fine. The only thing I don't like is the paper load. Title: Re: all in one printer Post by: Batch on Sunday, August 8, 2010, 17:42:48 Not sure if this is true of the MP640, but we have a canon and the ink expensive (even compatibles) due to the printer head being integral to the ink cartridge.

Not really for photo's - but for everything else it really is good - speed of printing is so much better than an inkjet.... I bought mine from Ebay for £50.... Title: Re: all in one printer Post by: Batch on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, 11:38:35 Yeah, saw that. Seems Kodak are going down the dirt cheap ink route. May have to investigate as I never find compatibles as good as originals and if Kodak originals are cheap it will be a winner!
