Title: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Panda Paws on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, 23:07:13 I'm heading to Bath for a night out at the theatre and beers and shit in Bath in a couple of weeks, but don't want to stay there. Anyone know how much a cab back is?

Anyone know how much a cab back is? Beers and shit? Is this some kind of sick new drinking game? Just you sounded so cultured going to the theatre. I'd make sure I did the theatre first. I paid £60 for a cab from Bath to Swindon in early hours of 26th May 2003 (a bank holiday), the day before Wolves beat Sheff Utd 3-0 in the play off final. I remember this because there was plenty of fans trying to kick the shit out of each other as I waited at a taxi rank. Probably doesn't help you though. I was very drunk and had vommited though, don't think it's the standard fare. The last trains at quater to 11 i think, couldn't you get that? Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 09:09:49 That is the problem with the trains around here, they're way too early. When I was younger I missed out on the end of loads of gigs in Bristol cos the last train was at 11pm or something daft.
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: land_of_bo on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 09:30:48 Why don't you want to stay? You'll probably get a room in the holiday inn or a B&B for less than said cab
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 09:38:02 You can crash on my sofa for a fiver.

Is it like in Newport, where you get charged 50 for puking on the back seat of the taxi? Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Jean-Francois is God on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 09:49:10 Another option is to camp...http://www.newtonmillpark.co.uk/
I am staying there on Saturday night after a night out in Bath so will be able to give you a better verdict on the campsite after the weekend if you would like? It costs £10 per person for a simple tent and it is only a 5-10 minute taxi into the centre of Bath. Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Spencer_White on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 12:19:14 Best bet is to get a quote in advance and call out one of the Swindon firms (SN1 or V cars). They are the cheapest.
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Bogus Dave on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 12:20:12 V cars are the main taxi firm here too.
Is it like in Newport, where you get charged 50 for puking on the back seat of the taxi? I think some of it was to do with puking, the rest was just him mugging me off Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: JOHNNY REEVES on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 12:26:58 that makes me sick.
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Panda Paws on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 12:52:00 Best bet is to get a quote in advance and call out one of the Swindon firms (SN1 or V cars). They are the cheapest. Would defo pre book. We're used to paying for cabs from Brighton to Eastbourne which is about the same distance, and if you fill it, its only about a tenner each as opposed to staying over so hoping for something similar Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: bassett boy on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 13:21:54 i,ll do it for £45 I will do it for £40Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Panda Paws on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 14:07:56 I like where this is going! It's the day of Yeovil away, and you wouild think it'd be quite easy to get the train to yeovil from swindon then back to bath before 7.30 but apparently not!
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Spencer_White on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 19:10:32 main problem is how far the ground is from the station.
Yeovil is one of my least favourite away days. Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Panda Paws on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 23:33:25 its only 40 miles, but I cant get back before 7.30 so missing Yeovil away for the theatre...what's happening to me! Could drive but then can't drink, or leave my car in bath.
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, August 6, 2010, 07:15:33 Why not?
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: Panda Paws on Friday, August 6, 2010, 11:21:31 Worded that wrong. I meant to say I wouild either have to not drink or leave my car in Bath, leaning towards the latter to be honest.
Title: Re: How much for a cab from Bath to Swindon Post by: TownLoyal on Friday, August 6, 2010, 13:04:00 Just seen my dad and asked (he's a taxi driver) said about 40-50 quid if private hire. Like sn1 etc.
