TOWN are keen to make an offer to keep trialist Thomas Dossevi at the County Ground, and are also contemplating a move for Leeds striker Tresor Kandol, the Advertiser can exclusively reveal. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/8305835.Double_striking_boost_for_Town_/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, August 2, 2010, 07:09:22 Trevor Candle eh? That's sprung out of nowhere. I think he's a decent player for our level, but potentially we could have three similar strikers on our books. An indication Ball will be played as a winger?
The comments section is beginning to look like proof that people with mild retardation can still use the internet though. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Whits on Monday, August 2, 2010, 07:12:39 I think ball will definatly play wide if you look at the comments from Wilson

Idiots, the two banging on about how we need to really good keepers are moving from mild to full on in your window licking face retardation Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Barry Scott on Monday, August 2, 2010, 08:09:08 I would think Kandol is backup for Dossevi. If we don't get Dossevi, we'd move for Kandol. I can't see why we'd sign both as we'd then have 3 big older target men and one younger potential target man.
Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Colin Todd on Monday, August 2, 2010, 08:12:43 Dont think Kandol's a bad move. He's proved himself to at least be reasonable at this level so would make a decent squad player for us.

As i said in another post Barry...Paynter our target man went missing v Millwall for his own reasons that became clear...Perricard was injured, that left us with Austin on his own. You cant have enough,in this division a large squad is vital...nothing wrong with Perricard,Dossevi and Kandol fighting it out...ware going to need them. We were reasonably lucky with injuries to forwards last season. Had Paynter and Austin been injured for any length of time we would have struggled I reckon. Agreed Bob...ware building a big squad now but still abit thin in defence...in numbers not appearance that is. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? I can't see why we'd sign both as we'd then have 3 big older target men and one younger potential target man. Sounds about right to me. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, August 2, 2010, 08:57:20 Agreed Bob...ware building a big squad now but still abit thin in defence...in numbers not appearance that is. Agreed. If Cuthbert and JFL get injured/suspended for example we are in deep doo doo. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, August 2, 2010, 09:17:39 Agreed. If Cuthbert and JFL get injured/suspended for example we are in deep doo doo. I have a feeling in my water that we will get CB in on loan from Liverpoo, Celtic or Man City as back up and go with what we have got already. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Crispy on Monday, August 2, 2010, 09:20:59 I did say i while back when he was let go by leeds, i'd have a look at him
Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Stegenfreud on Monday, August 2, 2010, 09:40:38 If there is no fee involved for Kandol and his wage demands aren't too high then i think its worth a punt, he has experience of this level and has just been through a promotion season. Currently we only have Austin, Peri Pericard and Ball as striking options, although i agree that if Dossevi signs then we may cool our interest in Kandol....
I have a feeling in my water that we will get CB in on loan from Liverpoo, Celtic or Man City as back up and go with what we have got already. Would like to see this... Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: DV on Monday, August 2, 2010, 12:15:27 Kandol?
no, thanks. Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: pauld on Monday, August 2, 2010, 12:23:29 Wasn't Kandol reckoned to be something of a disruptive influence at Leeds? Or did I just make that up?

Undoubtedly they are decent footballers but if they are are disruptive why keep them ? Seen Robinson at TA but no others. So it seems the Leeds fan(s) think so. But we did OK with Sheehan on that front... Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, August 2, 2010, 12:28:58 Doesn't light your candle? Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town? Post by: BANGKOK RED on Monday, August 2, 2010, 15:07:30 Quote Thomas is the son of former Togolese player Antoine Dossevi. He has recently gone on trial to Swindon Town of the English Second Division, scoring twice in his first appearance for the club. Swindon now plan to offer Dossevi a deal for the forthcoming season. :DHe is a keen lover of curry and had one in Swindon with Big Vinnie Pericard and Jean Francois Lescinel on Saturday night. He is believed to be partial to a Chicken Phall. They then went and danced the night away singing "My only swindon" Title: Re: Adver News: Double striking boost for Town?
