Just caught highlights of our 4-3 victory against 'derry. Londonderry, has just won the right, to be called the next UK City of Culture, after the Scousers. Not a lot of people know that. Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 19:34:11 Really? There's a couple of good pubs there, but can't think of much else to recommend it.

There's a couple of good pubs there, but can't think of much else to recommend it. Well to be strictly accurate...the Scousers are European City of Culture. This thing is the first UK effort, and kicks off in 2013....so they've got a bit of time, to find some culture. Can only be a matter of time before Swindon, achieves the accolade. Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 21:51:47 Something in the air ? Thunderclap Newman... Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: Bumpkin on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 21:58:18 I also watch the red button highlights. We seem to have a discipline problem, they were all moaning at the ref. Keeper did something stupid for one of the goals.
In other news Derry Londonderry did win the UK Capital of Culture, So good they named in twice presumably. Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: Batch on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 22:35:33 So good they named in twice presumably. Its the reggae reggae sauce of towns. Its the reggae reggae sauce of towns. One's the protestant naming of the city and the other catholic. You probably knew that anyway. Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: Arriba on Saturday, July 31, 2010, 21:45:02 some games you have to pay, but others are free.
you can get group tickets which save loads of money if you want to watch alot of matches.you need a car as games are spread around the area. i watched about 3 games a day over there.1 of which being the swindon fixture.i was charged to enter one of the town games. Title: Re: Milk Cup Post by: bfrank on Sunday, August 1, 2010, 09:00:10 My son played in it last year, its a fantastic well run tournament, and gives the boys a taste of what its like being a pro footballer. For most of the boys this will be the closest they get to being a pro,and boy do they enjoy it. A few will make the youth team. The rest will be released, but the memories they will have will stay with them for a long time.
