They have linked to Chelsea and Man Utd's web sites !

Maybe because of the conflict between fans who have lost the plot, legends lounge unrest and giving away silly, unnecessary posts we are being transferred to CFC or MUFC?

They also forgot to update their transfer tracker to say we have signed David Prutton OOPS! :D

In all seriousness, I can see the purpose for regular (or even intermittent) "pay on the day" fans, but why should season ticket holders bother? What does being a member of Club STFC/Man Utd/Chelsea get me that I don't get from having a season ticket?

A copy of the season review DVD
Vouchers for matchday tickets, for games you have already paid to watch

Pauld: Agree. Not sure what the differences between being a club member and a season ticket holder are. For example:

- Loyalty point scheme - £5 voucher every time you spend over £50 in the STFC club - are ST holders no longer getting discount?
- Big game ticket priority 2. What does that mean. Is that still behind season ticket holders?
- FREE invitation to all STFC Legends Lounge events - I presume ST holders will continue to get this?
- Priority purchase opportunity on all 2011/12 replica kit - again, will ST holders have to wait.


Not sure I will bother, however I will go for a Jr membership for the lad because :
- 5% off mascot package
- Watch a first team training session, stadium tour and lunch with the team

Though I thought this was what the free Jr Robins did anyway. Unless this is replacing the Jr Robins.

No that was my assumption too. But I wanted to check as I'd be pretty cross if I found out when trying to book that (for example) I couldn't get tickets for FA Cup 3rd round away because I "only" had a season ticket. I'll probably sign up for the free one anyway cos you can't have too many meaningless pieces of plastic in your wallet and sign the kids up for the JR thing like Batch said

@Batch, the JR has been a paid membership for a couple of years at least now

The benefits for ST holders aren't great, but i think £10 for the Juniors is pretty good. Like previous have said i loved having membership cards as a kid and i think the nippers would love this.

Perhaps this is an attempt to resolve the fiasco of the wembley tickets and not having a wiltshire postcode? - the numbered priority bit i mean...

Think it was planned long before that, but yes it's precisely that kind of thing. That and being able to have a better idea of who the "customer base" actually is, which greatly enhances the ability to lay plans for proper marketing etc. It's a foundation stone for all kinds of stuff, better ticketing, better sales, more cross-sell etc

I was told at the end of last season by the young lady in the club shop - as I tried to get discount when purchasing a shirt the the little fella that ST holders were no longer getting automatic discount in the club shop but would be issued with a book of vouchers to be used instead which included one off discounts in the high st

Now been changed, but the dates on 4 and 25 seem to contradict each other. 4 says it expires on 31st May 2011, whilst 25 says it will expire on 31st July 2011.

There's all kinds of discounts ST holders get - one of the Swindon cinemas does cheap tix for ST holders.

Instant Whip pissed all over Angel Delight! I think Instant Whip used to be made with 3/4 pint of milk whereas the inferior Angel Delight only used 1/2 pint.

Chocolate Instant Whip was sublime.

The Butterscotch Angel Delight, which my Nan used to served up with slightly stale ginger cake, was rank.

For all you tarts moaning about how all these 'members' are going to ruin your chances of getting tickets for away matches like a bunch of uninformed old women, I think this page makes it fairly clear that STs get priority, then 'Club Members', then 'One Members'.

Nobody has moaned about it, just seeking clarification on whether it is worth investing in membership if you are a season ticket holder. Which it possibly isn't. Do you know if ST holders still get shop discount? Do you now if ST holders get free entry to Legends Lounge events, are season ticket holders definitely priority 1 booking (I assume so).

Nothing wrong with membership schemes at all. But obviously there is no point joining if i get most of the perks anyway.

Where does Dream topping fit into the picture though? I seem to remember all three being pretty similar, but can't recall the difference between the three.

Season ticket holders - the benefits mentioned in the leaflet are:

- Seat for L1 games (obviously)
- Season tickets are transferable (thankfully)
- Free entry to home reserve team games.
- Priority booking for away games, cup competitions and play-offs
- Huge savings compared with match day prices

So the club shop discount is presumably gone, but I'd rather have the cheaper ST given I'd only use it to buy a shirt. Not sure on the other things like the player talk evenings and stuff.

I'll be honest, I was on a bit of a fishing trip with that post. But it seems to me that ST holders have first dibs for tickets, then Club Members, then One Members. As you rightly say, the 'fringe' benefits are rather unclear.

Dream Topping is, as the name suggests, a topping i.e. it is to be used in conjunction with other desserts to, well, top them off. Whereas your Angel Delight is a dessert in it's own right, albeit a bit nasty. I used to bloody love it when I was a kid, but then I also saw nothing wrong with wearing a velour sweatshirt with a picture of a trainer and the word "Jogging" sewn on it. I reckon I could probably sue my Mum and Dad for any one of those things these days

Butterscotch with a sliced banana....yummy.  Instant Whip was actually made with a whole pint of milk, and if you didn't whisk it quite properly, there was a sort fo clutionous mass left at the bottom of the bowl, which had to be scraped up and eaten.....mmmmm.  Trouble was my mum could always tell when i had done that because the proper bowls of the stuff didn't set!!!

I thought it was £30? Either way, I think it'll be worth it for me personally. I won't have a ST, so the vouchers make half the price back themselves, and the ticket priority will be a big bonus.

Edit: I just noticed the two-tiered pricing. £25 for STHs. £30 for non-STHs.

The ticket priority is the important thing for me aswell. It was annoying last year having to wait to be able to buy play-off tickets. Obvioiusly, if i get a ST then it wont be a problem.

I'm now totally confused as to what benefits you get with what now.

Do ST's no longer get you 10% discount in the shop?  That was the best benefit to having a ST other than getting a reserved home seat and prioity for big games.

To me saving huge amounts of money in matchday prices and not having to think about buying a ticket before every game are the main benefits of being a season ticket holder.

Has anyone received their packs yet? I ordered mine ages ago and still not got it in post!

They only had the Junior Reds ones in at the beginning of the week. They are hopful that the Club Red ones will arrive next week.

Junior red and One Red were available from Saturday. Just in case anyone ordered a One Red membership. Not sure what it gives you if you are a ST holder anyway.

Cheers saved me a phone call if nothing else - they originally said it would be a week - obviously taking a bit longer

I collected my Club Red pack today. Got home and have realised there's no membership card in there. I don't know if it's important/useful but I'd rather have it just in case. Have other people got their cards?

Yes, but when I collected it, it was seperate from the pack.
