Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, 21:39:07 Its one of these odd observations on life, that up until my mid 20's I could kip on any old bit of floor, ground etc with just a sleeping bag, then I started to notice lumps and damp and stuff...so needed a carry mat which did me through the 20's into the 30's..then I got married and the missus demanded an air bed.
Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: oxford_fan on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, 21:45:21 i'd quite happily sleep on my floor, but my back gives me jip if its not a completely even surface.

I hear you dude, my back gives me grief a lot too. I think it's probably got something to do with my excessive height. Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! I read that there are charging points at a place run by orange onsite, but i imagne that will mean queueing to charge it up. which is just gay. Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Kinky Tom on Thursday, June 16, 2005, 19:41:52 Ebay my man, I found a bloke in Nottingham, so they should get here pretty quick. £10 + £3p&p.

Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, June 16, 2005, 23:00:57 ticket + ID - hope my fucking citizen card comes else I'm stuck with my passport, and that's pretty mangled anyway
tent + sleeping bag (use old clothes as pillow) 1 or 2. 24xbeers - have to carry them but useful for drinkage on wed/thur for saving money. 1. 2 or 3 litre bottle of water - don't need loads but handy to have something you can refill to take to bed with you. clothes - think I'll risk weather being nice. Most annoying thing last year when it was muddy wasn't that I didn't have wellies, just that if you just wanted to chill and listen to a band you couldn't sit down. So... black bags. rizlas + baccy - might have been lucky but the last 2 times I've been it's been pretty cheap to buy weed there. Some sort of torch device. Might go see if they are still selling those 30 mins extra talk time moblie things in pound land, worth blagging a few of those, cheaper than taking batteries. Maybe some sort of flaggag - although might just stay in the same place as I have last 2 times, in which case should be ok anyway. Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Dazzza on Friday, June 17, 2005, 19:33:46 Tent arrived and it's fucking brilliant throw it up in the air and it literally pops up in the air and makes it's self, just bang in 4 pegs and it's made!

Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Dazzza on Friday, June 17, 2005, 19:38:23 I may just carry it round on my back like a snail, throw it up in the air where I collapse and pass out.
Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Reg Smeeton on Friday, June 17, 2005, 19:52:38 A good tent is a great thing, I bought my present one years ago.....they don''t make them any more.....its like an old friend though, we've been through a lot together.
I felt its finest moment was on the Shetland Islands......when a storm nearly blew it and me away......but I dismantled part of a nearby wall and built inside the tent, then drunk a load of whiskey to get to sleep. Title: GLASTONBURY BABY!! Post by: Dazzza on Saturday, June 18, 2005, 06:05:08 It's cheap, it's seven o'clock in the morning but I just christened mine.
I am fucked for tomorrow. |
