As per thread title, what are the must haves and has anyone found any hidden gems? Cydia is mainly used for mods. Install0us is for apps.

You need to install an app from Cydia called AppSync. Mine did a large update this morning, froze the phone a little when I first tried to wake it from sleep mode but gave it a few minutes and all was ok then.
