Rather have Rose than Sheehan, Rose has a lot of experience of playing in league one and is quite consistent, Also it sounds like he is someone who gets stuck in and can hit a great free kick too.

I don't know who i would prefer i aint seen Rose play fucking once for us yet.

Technicality. Players sign pre-contracts that start as soon as their existing ones finish. Any player who has signed for another club already is commited to that contract as is the club

He's put in some decent performances the last few games & defensively he did alright today too. Much improved player from the player at the start of the season and more like the player i was hoping we'd signed

Agreed........few people on here shot me down early season as i said he did well at Norwich....played well today and a great goal..............but he has to show this standard of performance every match.

When he 1st started out for us i just think he was too attack minded but now you can clearly see that he thinks about his positioning when going forward and makes sure of his defensive responsibilites when tracking back.

He's a great example for why a player who is off form should be dropped and have to fight for their place.

He's won me over too. I think he has to start just because of the free kick threat. I would like to see both him and Sheehan in some how.

Rose has a much better delivery than sheehan and has pace.clearly rose is a confidence player and must continue to start given his current form...stating the obvious but we wouldn't have signed sheehan had rose not had a ropey start.I imagine he told sheehan that the left back slot was his and perhaps that's why he started him rather than rose yest.

Wilsons like that though, he has his favourites who will come straight back in regardless of how their replacement played. David Lucas being the other.

I dont think Rose should have been dropped in the first place, before Ritchie got here I would have tried Rose & Sheehan both on the left.

Fair play to him. Can't defend for toffee but the best set piece taker i've seen in a town shirt, and whenever called upon in recent weeks hasn't let anyone down

He is an awful defender... and free-kicks that are pretty good shouldn't get you a place in the starting XI when your primary abjective is to stop goals coming repeatedly from your side of the pitch.

Thought exactly the same when that beauty flew in yesterday actually.

Erm, yes... yes he is. He gets turned too easily, done for pace and skill repeatedly, rarely blocks a cross, and generally has been poor. I genuinely prefer Kennedy by some distance.

I think his defending has improved in recent games, which wasn't hard to be honest.  I think it's a big risk with Kev playing so poorly as a defender right now, which is why Sheehan had to be in.  I'd be happy for Rose to start if we sort out the right back position though, and if we are playing 4-4-2.  I think he'd be too exposed as things stand with Ball protecting the right back and Ritchie the left back.  With Sheehan out though, he has to play, so I'd imagine the right back being tinkered with to become a bit more secure.

Hands up those that mist sheehan gettin a right royal roasting in the 1st half then?!seen milk turn quicker than sheehan and on current form rose deserves the shirt....disclaimer that I have the right to be fickle as the season progresses tho
