Title: Re: mexico Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, May 24, 2010, 20:13:14 Good to see Giovani dos Santos. A major prospect at Barcelona, would've liked him to have done well at Spurs.
Title: Re: mexico Post by: Barry Scott on Monday, May 24, 2010, 21:06:47 Why couldn't have someone called this a match day thread? I didn't even know this was on until i just flicked through! :)

Unfortunately neither can England with this line-up. Title: Re: mexico Post by: Chubbs on Monday, May 24, 2010, 21:24:59 Good to see Giovani dos Santos. A major prospect at Barcelona, would've liked him to have done well at Spurs. WAS a major prospect at barca, the fact he went on loan to ipswich shows he hasnt developed as well as first was expectedTitle: Re: mexico Post by: Chubbs on Monday, May 24, 2010, 21:26:45 great goal

Title: Re: mexico Post by: stfcinbmth on Monday, May 24, 2010, 22:47:23 Gave up watching England a couple of years ago after they had bored the pants off me one time too many
Title: Re: mexico Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Monday, May 24, 2010, 22:48:01 It was alright nothing special. Tbh I was more concerned about the pitch than the actual game. Looked alright to me.

Its going to amazing to see our team there. Title: Re: mexico Post by: Benzel on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 08:13:28 Yeah all I could think about was, I'll be behind that goal on Saturday!!! :D
Ball seemed to roll fine on that pitch, didn't look great but play wise it seemed fine. Title: Re: mexico Post by: dell boy on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 08:21:04 I think Leighton Baines just played himself out of the world cup. He did look very poor didn't he. Why do we keep giving Defoe a chance, I think he would struggle to get into Scotlands side. Huddleston and Carrick are not good enough either, in fact our midfield were very poor except for out wide, but down the middle teams are going to destroy us in the middle unless we pack it. Rooney upfront on his own is the best option for me. Title: Re: mexico Post by: jimmy_onions on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 09:34:42 Gave up watching England a couple of years ago after they had bored the pants off me one time too many Same as that, used to have same sort of feelings for England as I do for Swindon, but rapidly losing interest. Cant exactly put a finger on why but partly due to renewed interest in town and partly due to feeling completely disenchanted with the premiershit. Competely forgot game was on last night, and when I was reminded, wqasnt the slightest bit interested. Same goes for champions league and the fa cup final. I also noticed there was barely any mention of either of these games on here, so maybe the feelings are mutual. Its funny, as a kid the fa cup final was the massive game of the year. Title: Re: mexico Post by: Ginginho on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 09:50:34 I feel the same, Jimmy.
I forgot the game was on last night aswell, but I did put the 2nd half on the ITV player on my laptop, but paid no attention to it really. I'm hoping my enthusiasm picks up when the World Cup actually starts. Quite a few big flags have gone up around near me, which looks kinda shit but I quite like it :) |
