Title: Town T-Shirt Post by: farmer61 on Monday, May 24, 2010, 09:19:51 Saw a bloke wearing a red tshirt yesterday with the Town Crest on the left and the Engalnd 3 lions on the right. Anyone know where these are from??? May have been homemade but it didn't look like it? Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: sheepshagger on Monday, May 24, 2010, 09:27:30 I bought a Red one from the club shop on Thursday last week.....
Has Town badge on one side, and George cross on other side - made by a company called "club and country" Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: jimmy_onions on Monday, May 24, 2010, 09:32:16 Talking of t-shirts kits etc, I took my little boy to see thomas tank etc at steam museum at the weekend. Given that we are in the build up to the biggest day in STFC's history for 17 years and that the generally the town has embraced this quite well, I was expecting to see the odd swindon shirt or t-shirt or something.
But no. What did I see, the usual array of chelsea, arsenal, man u etc etc. Dads with arsenal t shirts and and all their kids with similar on. I dont suppose the fuckers (the dads that is, cant blame the littluns) have been within a jellieed eel of highbury, edmonton etc etc. Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: farmer61 on Monday, May 24, 2010, 09:34:42 I bought a Red one from the club shop on Thursday last week..... Now everyone I speak to is a Swindon fan and going to buy a Swindon shirt. I think to myself where were they when we were fighting relegation? Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Power to people on Monday, May 24, 2010, 13:07:55 It is annoying seeing all the plastics around town - how many on Sat will wear the Man U & Chelsea shirts though, ask them how many tiems they have been to old trafford etc
The club should do an offer trade in you premiershit shirt and get x of a stfc shirt and then wait until bonfire day and stick all the premiershit shirts on the bonny Saw a bloke in the town centre today selling play off final scarfs and t-shirts, looked quite good as well, cheaper than the stfc club shop ones as well Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: pauld on Monday, May 24, 2010, 13:45:30 It is annoying seeing all the plastics around town - how many on Sat will wear the Man U & Chelsea shirts though, ask them how many tiems they have been to old trafford etc And of course, he's bound to be a loyal supporter ::)The club should do an offer trade in you premiershit shirt and get x of a stfc shirt and then wait until bonfire day and stick all the premiershit shirts on the bonny Saw a bloke in the town centre today selling play off final scarfs and t-shirts, looked quite good as well, cheaper than the stfc club shop ones as well Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: suttonred on Monday, May 24, 2010, 13:52:40 I live in Faringdon and there is literally 2 people that wear Swindon shirts (me being one of them). It's all good for the club, and it's good to see casual fans excited that may turn up at the CG next year, if only to give the shirt an airing. Again good for the club. I could moan that there are going to be an extra 36500 than there were at Carlisle stopping me getting to the bar, i wont.......yet. Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Arriba on Monday, May 24, 2010, 13:53:52 all the loyal fans will have their tickets now.we need bandwagon jumpers to boost the numbers the more the merrier

Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: suttonred on Monday, May 24, 2010, 14:04:20 Yes, was pints of Carlsberg last time i went, think it was £3.50 or £4.00 a pop. Think there was Ale and cider too, but didn't take much notice. Burger and chips a fiver, but worth it, as thye are superb.
Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: jimmy_onions on Monday, May 24, 2010, 14:07:13 slighty off subject, when I went to see muse at the 02 arena dublin, a pissy pint of carlsbery in pissy plastic glass cost me about €6.80...top that.
Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Rustle on Monday, May 24, 2010, 14:09:10 Cheers sutton that dont seem to bad.
Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: suttonred on Monday, May 24, 2010, 14:11:59 Tis ok, i was expecting to be completely ripped off beforehand. Pretty quick to get served too, think i managed 8 or 9 pints in the 4 hours i was in there.

Rammstein in Madrid was 10euros a pint in November which wasn't far off a tenner a pint at the time. I seem to recall £4.40 a pint from seeing Oasis at Wembley last summer. Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: leefer on Monday, May 24, 2010, 17:09:34 The service inside Wembley is first class, beer and lager is four quid a go and a fairly big variety of food...pricey if you have kids so beware, although i didnt use them there are also bookies in the ground betting on the match.
I was very impressed with the all round organisation to be fair...enjoyed it alot. Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Rustle on Monday, May 24, 2010, 17:35:05 Cheers leefer,my boy is 18 and his mate is the same age so no kids with me and the wife cant go because of other commitments.I think i might have a couple of pints and something to eat in wembley then.
Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, May 24, 2010, 17:44:09 Are we talking about Wembley Stadium, North London, United Kingdom?
I thought the catering at Wembley was totally fucking extortionate. And when I've been the service has been diabolical. I suppose it's all down to personal experience and what you think constitutes good value or a down right rip off. Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: leefer on Monday, May 24, 2010, 17:57:57 Are we talking about Wembley Stadium, North London, United Kingdom? With lime or blackcurrant sir ? Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Power to people on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 12:59:46 As of this lunchtime there was around 4 "mobile" stalls around the town all selling 'unofficial' stfc merchandise, anything to make a few quid I suppose

I was reluctant to pay a fiver for burger and chips, but got to say it was the best burger i've had in this country, was worth the fiver tbh ( and i'm tight as fuck!) Title: Re: Town T-Shirt Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 15:21:11 Dont think they are allowed....but who cares. I expect they are not allowed but I expect as they will only be there for a week the council have deemed it too much hassle - to be fair I do think that stfc have missed a trick this week by not having a stall or something in the brunel selling wembley items, they would probably make a few quid with all the glory hunters wanting to buy something to look like a 'proper' fan |
