trying to get tickets, now they're on general release, my girlfriends brother can get access to buy the tickets on general release online (53 minutes early!) using his name and postcode, but when i enter my details it comes up saying "You are only allowed to make 1 booking per season ticket number. Your details have already been used for a booking" does everyone else that hasn't booked tickets yet get that message, or has some cunt used my details to get tickets? :cunt: :crash:

Paul had the same problem the other day. It's just the website not able to cope with the load and just throwing up random error pages.

Mate I had the same problem. Had a browse then came out then decided to try and buy later. Go to your browsing history and clikc on the booking screen.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. Let me in with my database details, but tells me at the end I can't book cos I don't have a local postcode. Rubbish.

it says on the website if you dont have an SN postcode you've gotta ring up and register.

But I'm already registered on the club database - I managed to buy tickets for the semis with Ticketzone, and if you enter non-database names/postcodes at the start it won't let you log in.

If you are not a Season Ticket Holder, do not have a local postcode and would like a ticket for Wembley then please email your details to [email protected] to include your name, address, mobile phone number, date of birth and email address. Once registered - supporters can then book tickets through Ticket Zone on 0844 875 8755. Please note tickets are not available through the STFC Box Office.

Surely if you're on the database it shouldn't matter what postcode you have? Me thinks ticketzone have fucked up their logic/validation here.

Fat chance RedOx - like I just said above, they specifically said on the website if you're on the database you can buy tickets. Of course, if you weren't on the database you wouldn't be able to log in and get as far as putting in credit card details etc anyway. The email thing was for people who don't have previous purchasing history.

That happened to me when I booked a couple of days ago. Unless you get the confirmation screen with a booking reference on, your booking has not been made

Fellas - I'm prepared to be wrong about this, but I think you may be pleasantly surprised by how quickly you get through on the phone...especially if you're prepared to hang back an hour or two to let the initial 9am rush subside.  The people on the phones seem to know what they're doing.  Personally, I'd always rather speak to a human being when ordering something like this.  The girl I spoke to on Wednesday was very helpful in getting seats for us adjacent to seats already purchased by family/friends.

This, I've just got off the phone and they were top notch, talk you through the exact seats you get and stuff. We got 10 tickets and instead of getting them in one long line to someone is 10 seats away from someone else we got two rows of five directly in line, something which you wouldnt be able to do online

Is it not a case of a lot of people on the same screen for tickets at the same time? I'd have thought the ticketzone system would be set up so that if you went through to a specific price banding page it would take some tickets out so as to ensure no double bookings

Was waiting for about 20 mins, then took about 5-10 mins to get them booked.

There are hundreds of people all logging in at the same time and calling at the same time.  The phone line with have a maximum active lines (it can't be changed without serious financial spend updating cabling etc) and the web server will not be set-up to cope with a mad rush like this - it also happens for big gigs so we are not alone.

There are thousands of tickets left and we are only on day 4 of sales - by this time in the last play off final ticket fiasco we had 4 hour queues at ticket holes in a wall.  I think on this day of sales you had to have about 3 ticket stubs or a combination of different coloured vouchers - they weren't even on general sale.

With 37k on sale, everyone will get one that want's one.

I think I prefer the old school way of getting your Wembley tickets, 1993 style.

You got up early, arrived at the County Ground at 7am to find the queue winding round the block.  You waited for 3 or 4 hours, plenty of banter with the other fans...and walked away beaming with the tickets in your hand.  There were even photographers on hand from the Adver taking pictures of excited fans brandishing their tickets.

I think we've lost something some how.  20th century 1-0 21st century.

i can understand the panic if you keep refreshing the ticketzone page tickets are flying out, its ace. i imagine people arent worried about not getting tickets they just want a decent seat.

The Ticket Zone website is claiming I've already made a booking which is pretty surprising considering I have a unique surname, live in Brighton and have never been on the website before.

Both ticket zone telephone numbers are constantly engaged, as is the STFC box office.

There are some strange things going on.  I've already booked tickets on my season tickets so couldn't get in to see how they were selling.  But if I change my name to Jones or Smith and use the same postcode - I can log in!  There's only about 40 houses in my street so unless there is a Jones and a Smith on the database in my street something is fucked up!

It seems that their online booking application is basically a bit pants - overall it has the feel of having been written by an intern on his summer holidays from college (not least because they're using ColdFusion - WTF?). And at the moment (inevitably) they haven't got enough phone lines to cope with everyone trying all at once to get through. That will smooth out over the course of the day, and once you do get through by phone it seems quite an efficient and well-run service. But they clearly shouldn't be trying to sell over the web without seriously reviewing their website - maybe if they're going to handle these kinds of large events in future they should look at a tried and tested off-the-shelf system rather than a "Look what I did for my college project, Mum" in-house gash-up.

Yes mate - took an hour and a half of constant redialling but it's a short wait when you finally hit the jackpot and get through.

Total nightmare for those left trying... Obviously the rush now is to get the good seats hence the panic. Thankfully the ones I got are good so am happy.

The lines were continually engaged for 1 hour 30mins, then I got into a queue, had to wait 20min and then got my ticket.

For info - the £62 and £84 tickets vanished several times on the website while I was trying to get through and came back. They seemed to have plenty when I called.

I'd guess if I got row 3 so easily that they've probably still got lots in that block.

it may be that when one operator is viewing a block of tickets they go off line so that they don't get double booked? wishfull thinking!  :D

The Robins received a total allocation of 36,700 tickets for the play-off final with Millwall on Saturday 29th May.

The official website will keep supporters upto date with regular ticket sales information.

No - I couldn't book online because I've got a London postcode, even though I'm on the database. The woman I spoke to was pretty helpful - I'm sure they won't tell you to fuck off once you're through.

They release several blocks, sell them, then release more.  If you ever watch the games for teams who don't sell out you can see this when the camera pans around.  Whole blocks are left empty rather than lots of odd seats.

I know that all looks correct but my bank card doesn't end in zero

am I just getting paranoid??? just that most sites i have seen (amazon etc) normally have the last number of your card. Im starting to think I might of made a typo.

Think everyone's had this - email has card number blanked with stars and ending in either P/0. Looks like a cock-up on the confirmation email as people who panicked about this have since confirmed their accounts have been correctly debited

It gets worse: They just rang me back because apparently I had two sets of tickets ordered on my address. One on the internet (which told me I hadn't ordered as it told me it had failed) and one on the phone.

They rang back once to check the details, so I thought it was for the phone booking, until they rang back 10 minutes later after realising it wasn't a phone booking but an internet booking.

Methinks someone at Ticketzone needs to go and give their internet department several lashes with something that'll hurt.

Well - I agree that they did at least eventually sort it ... and were very nice when they did sort it.

This was all caused by their shitty website not working properly which is why I said their internet dept should be lashed ...

What a big fuss. Didn't even need to be on the database. My Staffordshire postcode (125 miles from Swindon) was adequate !!

Very true. As a professional software developer, I can say this is the worst commercial internet website I've ever seen. The programmers have not taken any account of multiple simultaneuous bookings. You can have several people choosing the same ticket and it doesn't detect that so only the first person will get that ticket and then it wastes everyone else's time.

It seems to release tickets in a certain category a few at a time, so sometimes it looks like there are no tickets at a certain price. Sometimes you select a ticket price and it doesn't give any seats. This will be because someone bought the last seat in that block just as you selected the category. It's like amateur night out.

It consistently fails to recognise valid logins, then accepts them for no apparent reason, and people seem to have reported random error messages, invalid postcodes and so on.

Add in all the doubts about whether people's cards have been processed the ambiguities in account numbers and you get a total shambles.

Disgraceful.

I ordered 4 online successfully on tuesday, phoned up yesterday to order another 1 (as couldn't use my S/T number again on line) the bloke informs me I've bought 8 tickets!!

Luckily was able to cancel and refund one block of 4 but only ever recieved 1 confirmation email yet 2 blocks of tickets were booked and taken off my card (3 days later)


Sorted now anyway, just got all week next week to panic until they actually bloody arrive through the post. not sure if this has been mentioned yet but they're all sent recorded delivery ie someone has to sign for them, so if you're not in, they get sent to the local sorting office.

Never straightforward following the town eh!

Was just emailing Ticket Zone to ask whether they had me down for two bookings, one this morning on-line which let me through and then stopped me when it noticed my Oxford post code; the second booking I did over the phone later.

Before I finished the email they actually rang me to say that they were ringing on behalf of STFC and did I still need a ticket (I emailed the club early to try and register).

I said no I was ok, but just asked whether they could check how many bookings were on my credit card. She said there were two, one by internet and the other by phone!

Great that they rang me and it is now sorted but would suggest that you check that you haven't been charged twice as I think there were others like me and Terry T who had the same problems first thing this morning......

Reassuring that the thing with the *****P in the credit card isn't me typing the number in wrong.  You are right though, its a barely fit for purpose website - don't think it has anything to do with STFC, this is the FA, so i'm sure there was a valid tendering process, and not a hint of corruption in getting it built

I finally got through at 4pm yesterday. No tickets available over £52. So had to settle for the best that was left. Not a great experience trying to get the tickets, very badly run and the guy I finally spoke to was only interested in how tired he felt after a long day sitting in a hot room.

Swindon Town if you ever have to organise a play-off final ticket allocation again, you need to use a professional, competent company.
