Title: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:25:55 as there are a few fans with requests for tickets i'll start a new thread for it.
i need 5 if any season ticket holders aint using theirs, and want to offer me it. not expecting anything but worth a try i suppose Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: pauld on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:29:02 You might want to at least wait until they go on general sale i.e. see if you actually have a problem to be solved before getting all desperate about it. Ridiculous overreaction as usual
Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:33:45 i dont want to go in the scramble friday if i can help it.not desperate at all.
how that is a ridiculous overeaction i dont know? you can bet there are plenty who are asking this question. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:39:49 My feeling after listening to a few glory hunters, who told me they'd go if we made it, is that now they're not because of the high costs.
There is no way we will sell out....actually getting your hands on ticket due to relying on Ralphy's mob and a bunch of middlemen is the problem. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: pauld on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:43:56 how that is a ridiculous overeaction i dont know? I was referring to your generally hysterical approach to the ticketing "issue" over all the threads. We've got 37000 tickets, they've been on sale for less than 24 hours. Calm down, you'll get one (or five if that's what you're after)Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:49:52 you've got me all wrong paul.
having an opinion on how they've distributed tickets,or asking a question, is hardly hysterical or an overeaction.you are overeacting over my posts. i'm throwing it out there on the off chance someone will help.i expect nothing, but like everyone else would rather avoid the free for all on friday. i've been offered tickets, just not the 5 i'm after. if i cant get 5 then i'll wait. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Ardiles on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 17:51:18 Every 'glory hunter' is a potential fan. Really pisses me off when people gang up on folk for showing an interest in the club, however occasional. So there are a few thousand people out there who don't come often (or at all) but fancy a day out at Wembley...so what?
If we're serious about the club growing its fan base, we need to encourage these people...not look down our noses at them because they don't yet have the same obsession we do. That said, I think Reg is right about the cost. Will put a lot of folk off. I have only made 14 games this season because of the cost and things being tight for me and my daughter.Mr powel replied saying i wont be able to get one as the ticket master want except my post code as i live in suffolk and are only following restrictions put in by the police does anyone know if this is true or can anyone help me in finding another way of buying tickets.

I've no prob with glory hunters, I'm just reporting what I've noticed, namely a lot who said they'd definitely go, now plan to do something else, like have a barbie and a watch on TV. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: The_Plagiarist on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 18:38:17 its more expensive than I thought. £55 for the town end of wembley is crazy! I might even feel compelled to sit down in a seat I've paid that much for. (I hear the legroom is outstanding and the quail and chips are to die for)
the plus side is, my inlaws had decided they all want to come along for the ride, whereas I had grand plans of getting mullered with my mates and acting like an idiot all weekend. think the prices might make the inlaws think twice. nice people, don't want to go to football with them. I don't have a problem with the glory hunters until they start to say "sit down" or "stop swearing theres ladies present" or "who is that fellow in the black brogues with the whistle" then I pine for the days of 4 thousand on a tuesday night at home to notts county one things for sure, whatever happens, monday night will stay with me forever. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Arriba on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 11:19:14 well my hysterical, overeaction worked.i'm sorted for tickets.
i'm glad i asked around too as i think tickets are selling fast.couldn't get what i wanted in the £52 seats infact nothing is in that price band for anymore than 2 tickets at a time.i had to go for the £62 ones. i'd strongly advise anyone who can to beg, borrow or steal someones season ticket, and buy yours now. tomorrow is gonna be a nightmare for people wanting multiple tickets i'm sure.you might have to take what's there. not necessarily what you want. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 11:36:31 for those out of town and not registered i am registered on the data base so can buy tickets.
Sorting out money first would need to be done so i'm not fronting the money and you then drop out. also i will send the tickets on to yourselves 1st class special delivery once i've received them. I get to choose who i help though. I do feel for genuine supporters who are not on the database or ST holders, we have a similar problem for a lot of my mates who want to go. A lot of them are casual goers who attend now and again but because Lambourn/Hungerford is a RG postcode they can not get any tickets, I really am struggling to see how people who are 12 miles from the ground are being overlooked for people in the southwest of Wiltshire who live 60 miles away just because of their postcode. I can really see us struggling to sell anywhere near our allocation as these people are not just not going to bother with the hassle of it especially at the prices Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Arriba on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 12:27:17 mmmm strange.reckon some payments might have failed then.
i couldn't get more than 2.and a manager at work was trying too, and he couldn't get the 3 he wanted either. He'd sort it out very quickly I'm sure.Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Batch on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 12:32:36 This is madness for the out of Towners not on the database.
I guess the club may not have known, but it would have been nice to have some forewarning that this situation before hand. That way people could have got on the database before season end just in case. One asumes Millwall are having similar issues? Talking of Millwall, had to laugh they have supporters coaches going to Wembley from the Den at £15 a pop, 10:30 depart. I mean, who in their right mind would do that? Unless there is a load of parking space there or something. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 12:33:40 yeah i saw that. and they reckon they've got an allocation of 38k.
but the way they are handling the tickets neither club will sell out Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: DV on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 12:46:37 If its not a daft suggestion - couldn't the RG post coders who only live a few miles away actually go to the CG and get themselves put on the database?
For what its worth, I haven't used my season ticket, so PM me if you'd like to use it.... Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Barry Scott on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 13:20:05 really? £52 each? was fuck all there last night My mistake Arriba. If you are not a Season Ticket Holder, do not have a local postcode and would like a ticket for Wembley then please email your details to [email protected] to include your name, address, mobile phone number and email address. Once registered - supporters can then book tickets through Ticket Zone on 0844 875... 8755. Please note tickets are not available through the STFC Box Office. I know it won't sell out by then so I'm not massively worried but I probably wouldn't have much choice of seats in the lower tier by then.
A big big ask I know! Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: leefer on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 21:31:21 Closed now i think.

Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: FSF on Friday, May 21, 2010, 09:39:43 If you're begging for a ticket, there's still a chance to win a pair of VIP ones through the FSF's free competition. See the thread further down the forum, head to www.facebook.com/thefsf or www.fsf.org.uk for more details.
Competition ends at noon today, though, so you best be quick. The woman said that simply wasn't true. I've got a £52 seat halfway up the lower tier to the side of one of the goals and was reassured there were a lot of unsold seats in that block so my mates could probably get seats by if they phone up today. Title: Re: the play off ticket begging thread Post by: Spy on Friday, May 21, 2010, 10:17:46 Oh. That makes sense in a way. If we don't sell our allocation I suppose they will prefer to have solid blocks of fans rather than empty seats dotted around all over the place.
