Same as that....I normally go with 2, 3 others. Will be going with about 7 or 8 to wembley. If that is repeated by others, it soon adds up.

To sell out would be immense!

Also, I know its stating the obvious but this is fantastic for the club, think of the extra revenue made from shirts sales etc etc.

I recall 17years ago the whole town really got behind the club, with messages in shop windows etc etc...I wonder if that will happen again?

A reliable source (Chelsea bloke who does Wemberley at least once a season) recommends The Green man on Dagmar Avenue as a good watering hole/ feed station. Food and Beer cheaper than at the stadium and food a lot better. Gets rammed solid but they have been doing this for years and the system works (aledgedly) :beers:

That's what i think me and some mates are gonna do. Did you get it with a driver and what's the damage like please?

It went badly, after submitting the online booking the e-mailed us last night to say they didn't have any.  Tried all the local and not so local companies and everything has gone.  Only ones left are driven mini coaches but you are looking at £300+ minimum for a 12 seater.  I wouldn't minf betting that the club has already sourced every available seat in Swindon!

does the online thing show what tickets are sold? If so, is it filling up nicely?

You can only log in once. It just displays a few blocks of seats in the various price brackets at a time, so there's no way of knowing how many we've sold.

Oh... Sounds a bit of a fucker. Who did you get yours with and where did you find the one you mention above please?

The price seems alright as will still be cheaper than a train, but if availablity is low, i can't imagine finding anything at all when my mates get their arses in gear which will probably be the 28th. :)

A question for those in the know....if you are in the second or third tiers at the front, are there hoardings in front of you to hang flags on?

There are, but the stewards can be a bit (read as a lot) arsey about it - especially if it is a flag of a sufficient size to be worth taking in the first place. Worth a go though, you'll get it back at the end if they take it off you and you can still hang it up in the pub before/after.

Anyone travelling down from up north? Can't afford to go but if i could hitch a lift from someone to Swindon that would be fantastic.

Does someone remember the old Wembley? Back row, see fuck all.

My Dad is coming down on the Saturday from near Harrogate straight to Wembley, not sure if he would be prepared to give you a lift but I can ask.

Much appreciated even if he did happen to say no, I'm very grateful that you would ask, Cheers.

i'm mainly on about the bottom tier really.alot of the modern grounds have the rear rows under the above stand.if that's the case at wembley i'd rather sit elsewhere.

I know what you mean, then roof blocks out half the stadium, but this isn't the case at Wembley. You'll be fine.

Oh right, I think it's a more of a problem at Arsenal rather than Wembley, but I've not yet been to Wembley so can't categorically confirm.

Either way I'll either be sulking and avoiding all things Swindon Town or down town celebrating all things Swindon Town!

I seriously can't wait for this.  I'm leaving home at five in the morning to get to my old man's for eight.  Bite to eat, off to get the coach in Swindon leaving at half nine.  Coach back to Swindon after the game, then back to the old man's - then a three hour drive home.  After seeing the character we showed at Charlton, I really do believe we are going to win this.

I can't wait either. If we win it will be awesome.

However if we lose I won't be gutted. Pretty meh actually.

I love League One, it's our natural home. Much better that the CGH is half dead on match days rather than rammed with glory hunters. Selfish, me.  :D

That's an extremely good point Barry. In fact, as a mod, could you lock his account for the day so as to avoid the risk of any temptation to breach good etiquette in such a flagrant manner?

His misses is one step ahead of you. She requested i remove this potential distraction "because he hasn't seen my family for a few weeks and won't see them again until mid-June."

Mid-June? I hadn't realised this was such a serious case of estrangement. That's almost a lifetime in "not seeing missus' relatives who've come quite a way" terms

you can't blame him for missing wembley, I see that now. travelling such great distances to see him could take quite some time, best part of three whole hours. lets be honest, who can afford to waste half a morning in this day and age. oh well, in seventeen years time sippo may get another shot at it, as long as its not the day to pay the paper bill or something equally unmissable

Exactly. As batch has also realised, i don't think you truly understand the gravity of the situation until you see the bigger picture. It's easy for us to sit in excitement grasping our Wembley tickets with nervous, sweaty palms, but if you just imagine sippo's perspective for a moment, you really begin to see how we take going to Wembley every 17 years for granted.
