Title: Common Sense for Full Time on saturday.
Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, May 3, 2010, 18:55:39
Just to say, if we do overcome Millwall saturday and get promoted I hope the ref, our management and players operate some common sense and get off the pitch.

We'll still be there in 10 minutes time when the rest of the ground has been cleared, and they can come back out.

There's a Millwall fan on another forum saying it could all kick off if we go up. I guess that's to be expected though.

considering what's happened at other clubs this weekend,it's pretty obvious millwall wont go quietly if things dont go their way next week.

If, by a minor miracle, we beat them and leeds fuck up, I shall be staying in the New Den until Sunday morning.

With the Wendies/Luton situations I think OB will be all over it.

Personally, if the miracle happens, I'm going to try and look gutted until I'm 25 miles away from the ground. Then it's party time!

There wont be any trouble in the ground i am sure, two much security...the fun will be getting back on the underground after without getting a face restructure.

If it does happen, that we go up, i've already said at home they'll probably keep us in the ground for an hour, not that we'd notice, be too busy celebrating.

Im sure the fans will be fine.

Its a much easier away trip with the path for the away fans to the station.

I've never been so excited about a match for years!

Kevin Amankwaah must be shitting bricks though!

If we do get automatic, whilst disappointed, they will know that Lids have choked again, and will look forward to doing them in the play-offs.

Of course, if it wasn't for that dodgy decision at the CG which meant we had to play with 10 men for an hour, we could've been in 2nd with our destiny in our own hands.

What I want to know is, who is a good person to stand by when leaving the ground and who is dodgy as hell and likely to get clouted?

I was thinking of wearing colours,is anyone else?

You're a girl aren't you? You'll be fine in colours.

Even Millwall wouldn't hit a girl!

I'd imagine there'll be enough of us for the OB to put on a 'special' between South Bermondsey and London Bridge after the game.

I was more worried about attracting attention to the blokes I'll be going with if I'm in colours, but I have to stick to what I was wearing when we last won (Sat) and that's red. Plus my lucky unbeaten jeans.

Anyway weirdly I quite like the being herded bit. Especially if we win the game and get auto, I would love it, LOVE IT.

i suspect millwall will be too occupied in attacking the police and burning cars to have a go at town fans.
personally i wouldn't wear colours there, or want anyone in my party doing so.

there was a documentary on milwall around 4-5 years ago.those fuckers have no morals at all, and would kick the shit out of anybody.

Nice one Batch - I got it.
Saturday should be fun. I am actually confident we'll fuck up Millwalls chances with at least a draw. I'm hoping Scotty can beam me up after the game because I don't fany getting back to the train as it will be proper old school. They are cunts though at putting coaches through and  miles away from the ground as well.
After one London game i had the pleasure of drinking on the Pride of Paddington and seeing 6 or 7 coaches of Slave Traders getting dropped off at Paddington after Millwall in windowless coaches.

I've been to Millwall quite a few times and never seen any bother. I'm not saying its risk free but as long as you don't act up and don't go looking for it I'm sure nothing will happen. I've aslo been to Millwall as a "home" a few times and not seen any trouble. Even been to Millwall West Ham and saw only abit of trouble. There is so many police that if anything does kick off it's quickly put down.

Keep your head down, don't wear stone ilsand, don't shout in a thick west country acent and keep at all times in sight of a police man and you'll be fine. I personaly will be hiding behind as many people as possible and I'll have my running shoes on just in case and if worst comes to worst then I'll just pretend to be a "wall" fan and having a london acent I'll be fine he he he :)

I will not be wearing colours (nor hopefully will anyone in my 'party'), after wearing colours (albeit an old white away shirt) to Leeds and getting verbals for it (obviously my smirk crept out behind my sad face).

That sentence was more brackets than anything.

Tbh I don't think they'll be much hassle if we get a result there.

As long as you're sensible and don't act like a twat outside the ground.

(Oh dear, there's gonna be trouble, isn't there?)

I will be going to the game, not wearing my colours thou. I went last season and we all sang your not scarry anymore  . I'm more worried about my west ham fan and his missus who are coming with me  :( should be a good game and i hope there isn't any trouble, i guess if you go looking you will find it.
The area around is a dump with all those chop shops , we are driving then getting the tube from the outskirts.
The championship here we come.   :2nd:

It is inevitable there will be trouble almost although I am sure the MET police etc will police the game accordingly inside and outside the ground given the fact there is lots on the line. If we win I dare say the Millwall fans will try to run riot. If we lose however they will celebrate on the pitch and run riot inside the ground, especially if Leeds lose. Have been to Millwall before and walked back to the tube no problems however there was nothing on the line. Could get very nasty so ofcourse just keep an eye on whats going on around you and keep your mouth shut and you'll be fine!  Bit of common sense really. Also i dare say we will be kept in the ground for quite a long time whilst the Millwall fans all leave the area.

I expect you'll be fine wearing colours if going by coach as I'm sure they will drop and pick up directly by the enterance / exit to avoid any confrontations

Millwall was fine a couple of years ago. Walked back to the tube, even saw a fan wearing a Town shirt.... Millwall was always a rough place to go to  even for a regular game , with everything at stake I am sure the locals will have a very large and nasty welcoming committee so be alert!!

If we do turn em over, they're still in the play-offs so if they get issued with the old 'if it kicks off against swindon, we'll be playing behind closed doors' warning, me rose coloured spectacles confirms it will be all handshakes and smiles at the final whistle ;-)

Only thing with that set of results is it might mean we are heading back to the Den in a weeks time. They like to put on a good show.

So..... of the two black players likely to play at away at Millwall, one is a West Ham player and one is the bloke that told their folk hero striker to "fuck off one bollock".....

It's going to be unpleasant isn't it?
