Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:07:58 Thanks Red....got a season ticket for next season so will pop down on thursday..
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: The_Plagiarist on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:18:58 not sure how they're going to do this, seeing as those with 10/11 season tickets don't have the tickets and therefore the vouchers yet - assume we can order over the phone thursday morning?
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:22:03 not sure how they're going to do this, seeing as those with 10/11 season tickets don't have the tickets and therefore the vouchers yet - assume we can order over the phone thursday morning? Surely then you'd be on the database? That's how it'll work I guess. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:24:16 not sure how they're going to do this, seeing as those with 10/11 season tickets don't have the tickets and therefore the vouchers yet - assume we can order over the phone thursday morning? Weve got letters confirming weve paid for a ticket...this will suffice. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: tans on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:27:19 Weve got letters confirming weve paid for a ticket...this will suffice. Have you? I havent received anything at all confirming my purchase Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:38:25 glad they are doing something, but dont agree with next seasons holders getting preference.
should go straight to general sale imo. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 09:41:02 Have you? I havent received anything at all confirming my purchase I got mine at the ticket office and got a receipt....but as onion says you will be on the database as paid..so will be ok,not sure about booking over the telephone though i am guessing you will have to go in person with ID. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 10:32:44 To be fair, everyone knows that this is another advantage of having the season tickets.
The club and the police obviously didnt want to let them go on general sale. But I couldnt see us selling 2200 on just 1 ticket per season ticket holder. It would be another embaressment to the club if we couldnt sell these tickets. The fact we couldnt sell out 1700 at Leeds was already a massive indication that Swindon fans dont have as much ambition as the supporters of some of the clubs around us. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: RedOx on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:05:46 glad they are doing something, but dont agree with next seasons holders getting preference. should go straight to general sale imo. Difficult one, but I can see why they have done it.......get some people that were unsure about getting a 2010/11 ST to now purchase one?! Or am I being cynical?! Before they announced this change in the selling process, some NON 2009/10 ST holders who had bought for 2010/11 STs said that they may still get a millwall ticket from mates or by others means - SuttonRed? If that is still the case (they may now have access to 2 tickets) please PM me if they want to sell the spare. Does that make any sense?!!! :hmmm: ??? Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:09:12 Difficult one, but I can see why they have done it.......get some people that were unsure about getting a 2010/11 ST to now purchase one?! Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:09:34 Iv heard weve only shifted less than 3000 season tickets for next season, despite having some of the best value season tickets in the south of England. Prices could well go up big time on 5th may.
If this means we sell another 50 season tickets, then thats good. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: suttonred on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:13:07 Difficult one, but I can see why they have done it.......get some people that were unsure about getting a 2010/11 ST to now purchase one?! If that is still the case (they may now have access to 2 tickets) please PM me if they want to sell the spare. Does that make any sense?!!! :hmmm: ??? My plan B was to accept the offer of a place in a millwall box, plan c was to just go to the ground anyway. Hopefully i can now call in and get one, as cant make it in person. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:20:47 i'm sure this will sell out.that said i dont think it will be difficult to get a ticket(2 wins on the trot might change that)
i also think there is no problem with season ticket holders getting first dibs, thats the way it should be,but next seasons season tickets are for then, not now. doesn't bother me,and i can see why they've done it.i just dont agree with it. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:21:52 You're going to be a tad unhappy when if get playoffs then!
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 11:26:34 why unhappy?
i think that's what will happen. if you mean the way tickets will be allocated? then i'm sure it will throw up some discussion, but i'm really not that bothered about it. Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: DV on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 12:04:04 You clearly are.
I guess you disagree with it because you don't have a season ticket? Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: tans on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 12:15:12 I got mine at the ticket office and got a receipt....but as onion says you will be on the database as paid..so will be ok,not sure about booking over the telephone though i am guessing you will have to go in person with ID. its ok, i have the receipt from when i got it from the ticket office, cheers Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 12:16:35 You clearly are. I guess you disagree with it because you don't have a season ticket? i'm clearly not. i dont have a season ticket, and as i said above, i think those that do getting first dibs is fair. my post earlier in the thread is pretty clear i think Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: nochee on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 13:40:30 Happy days, i got my season ticket for 10/11 yesterday. Me and 2 more will be sitting in the drs near the town end, hopefully helping to get the singing started.
So this means that i will now be going to Millwall, top fucking notch Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Langers on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 14:07:38 Good sensible decision by the club, it will probably end up being a meaningless game afterall!
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 15:53:22 Will be going to this now I think.
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 16:01:35 Wahey, I now stand a small chance of getting a ticket! As the thread title suggests, common sense has prevailed despite the best attempts of the Metropolitan Police to have it otherwise.
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: jonny72 on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 16:05:00 Rather than blaming the Met, how about blaming the real culprits instead? That is, all the moronic hooligans that still support Millwall and have a long history of causing trouble, this season included.
Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: pauld on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 16:05:29 Nah, fuck that. Let's blame the Met

Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 16:21:25 Rather than blaming the Met, how about blaming the real culprits instead? That is, all the moronic hooligans that still support Millwall and have a long history of causing trouble, this season included. Because the police's approach to dealing with the danger of 'hooliganism' was wrong.Title: Re: Millwall Tickets - Common Sense Provails Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 16:35:58 what is millwall fc's ticket sale procedure like?
i'm sure they will have to abide by strict measures.
