Title: Pigs on the M4
Post by: pauld on Monday, April 12, 2010, 14:03:57
M4 Westbound closed between Jcns 17 and 18 because of overturned pig transporter and pigs on the motorway:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/8615446.stm

(Seriously)

Anyone know if this is affecting eastbound as well? BBC only says westbound but AA Roadwatch shows 0 mph eastbound as well. I'm hoping this is just the AA getting it wrong (as there's no text explaining the map) otherwise I'll need to think about setting off soon to get back in time for the game

EDIT: Looks like Beeb are right - web cams show traffic moving eastbound as of 10 mins ago.

In all seriosness, if you're coming from bristol ignore the M4 Completely I'd suggest. Head to bath then get on the A4 to chippnum

Erm no. In this case it's what a mother gets for her child insisting that she goes to Ikea. You haven't got any daughters, have you? No, I can tell.

I did after I'd posted, albeit on the BBC site (same cams though) hence the EDIT: bit - seems to be OK eastbound. So no panic, but I seem to have precipitated a porktastic avalanche of pig puns.

Get off at Junction 18, and head down through Tormarton, Acton Turville and Castle Combe onto the A420 just before Chippenham. No pig related puns from me as I'm as thick as pig shit....

Jokes this bad are enough to make some people kermit suicide.

Couldn't think of any more pig related puns that hadn't been done 100 times already.
