I was going to watch that, then realised Liverpool were on Channel 5. They're not 1-0 up though.

I'd rather watch Fulham than Liverpool...They're much more entertaining.

My ITV2 and ITV4 aren't working!!

Annoyingly ITV 1 (Coronation Street) and ITV3 (Darling Buds of May) are working!!

I'm still finding it surreal that it's the same Fulham team that we pretty evenly matched over 90 minutes, the same Fulham team we only lost 1-0 to ... and here they are conquering Europe beating the likes of Juventus and German champions Wolfsburg

This is my saddest post ever (yes, really).

After our trip to Craven Cottage it got me thinking...my mum and dad hailed from Battersea, just an omnibus ride away. If I was ever to have a second team then naturally it would be Fulham. However, my mates just looked at me with incredulity when I mentioned it. So I will stick with just Swindon Town FC  :(

the battersea power station is an awesome looking building i think.especially at night when it's lit up.

Both my mum and dad used to work there and live in Battersea. My eldest brother supported Chelsea. Thank God they moved to Swindon. 

Chelsea is the local team to Battersea, not Fulham, so they should be your 'second' team if such a thing exists.

I currently live about a mile from Craven Cottage and have been to a couple of Europa games but just cannot get excited about them, it's still nice to see them doing well though.

Are Liverpool going to do to Hamburg what they did to Roma in 1984? ie beat them in the final in their own stadium (albeit in a different competition)?

Yeah, geographically perhaps but who could support a team like that?

Fulham deserve it. The beat the holders (Donetsk), the favourites (Juve), and topped it off by beating 2 German clubs, including the hosts of the final.

Hodgson for manager of the year...hands down.

..and yet Liverpool will win the competition and spin the achievement as a great season for them.

Whether they play Liverpool or Atletico, and whether they win or lose, Fulham's season is the non-Swindon achievement of the season for me.

It's been a good game. Would be nice to have an all-English final so I'm hoping Liverpool get one back. I'm sure some will see it differently.

What Roy Hodgson has done there is great - However, I don't find it at all surprising. One of the last of the old school  with a great reputation. He definately deserved some success in England before calling it a day.

2 good games tonight. Had myself flicking between both. Shame Liverpool couldn't make it an all English final but fair play to Fulham. What they have achieved this season has been nothing short of superb. It'll be tough for them against Madrid but they have beaten some good teams on their way to Hamberg so they'll fancy their chances. Who'd have thought they'd be the last team flying the flag in Europe for England?

OFFICIALLY : Swindon Town FC have had a much season better than Liverpool FC. Will someone please tell my housemates? They all seem to believe that because we are not in the premiership we have had a shit season.

Think it's better to have a representative from different countries.....contrast of styles, seeing different players etc.....Fulham v Athletico is potentially so much more interesting than a game v Scousers.

I remember the last all English UEFA cup final, a two legged yawnfest between Wolves and Yids,in 72.

You'd get extended highlights on the box, which was dead exciting.

Fulham have done exceptionally well, but to watch their football is like watching paint dry - that said it seems to work for them so fair enough
What did make me laugh was the commentator banging on about the atmosphere and he kept going on about the Hammersmith End, Fulham have possibly the worst support in the premier league in terms of atmosphere/numbers etc (alongside Hull, Bolton etc)

What fantastic odd you would have got on Fulham to get to the UEFA Cup final and for FC Bayern to reach the Champions League final

I don't think Fulham's style of football is that boring personally, think they have some attacking creative players in Gera, Murphy etc and certainly don't bore me.

Sorry, you're quite right. In fact, a quick 30-second flick through my most recent posts suggests that out of my last 50 contributions to the forum, as many as THREE have taken account of different points of view on a subject. I am truly sorry for being open minded on critical issues such as which teams people would like to see in a European final, and I apologise profusely if posts such as my rant at the BNP, my complaints about Cameron's "vote-for-me-and-do-the-hard-work-yourselves" policy or my discussion of what I had for breakfast one day were left too open for you to fully establish my absolute position on a binary scale of opinion on these matters.
