I was out for an Indian, with a couple of German lads earlier, who come from Magdeburg.

They were well impressed that I knew about Magdeburg winning the Cup Winners Cup in 74.

In that side was Joachim Streich, a legend in East German football, part of the side that beat West Germany in the 74 WC.

Apparently now Magdeborg are in Div 4, but still get average crowds of 12,000, Streich has hit the bottle and works as a shoe salesman, having had a couple of goes at managing them.

 Football is ace.....

This is a twatish comment: what has that got to do with Hamburg vs Hannover, or any involvement of an item you drink from? What you have described should surely be in a thread entitled "I know everything, I am a legend"? It's pretty impressive that you know that stuff, let alone that you managed to get out for a curry :I'm a complete mofleakin Deak

The video is quite funny though.

I thought they flushed Hitler's ashes down a toilet in a Soviet army base in Magdeburg (apart from the skull which Stalin kept).

richtig im Kopf

Correct in the head?

Would've been better off saying "direkt in den Kopf".

'Right in the head' actually.

Du bist ein verdammter pedantischen Wank Möse, und ich habe in Deutschland gelebt, so rechne ich seine feine.

Wank Möse!

What on earth did you mean by 'seine feine'? Is that something to do with Gerry Adams?

Yes, 'richtig' does mean 'right' but it's in the 'correct' sense, not the 'directly' sense.

Und ich weiß, ich bin ein riesiger pedantischen Fotze, aber Sie haben einen viereckigen Kopf, weil Sie mit ihm in einer Keksdose schlafen.

I was gonna point out the 'richtig' thing Samdy, but have started to refrain from being a pedant. :) I was sure at school we were taught it as true, correct, right etc. I also wasn't sure of the correct term and was going to put 'rechts' as in right (the direction)!

Bit wierd - on another thread earlier today, I asked Reg if he was related to Stalin or Hitler (or Mussolini), & now I've just seen your comment using 2 of those 3 names.

The most crazy, imaginative things happen to me. Harry Potter, eat your heart out. You speccy little prick.

One of the stewards in the TE on Saturday was a guy who was in the year above me at school. Quite disliked by most, and really full of himself. Perfect steward material really.

BTW I'm a speccy for the majority of the time, so I can say that. No offence meant to fellow bins-wearers.
