I wasn't going to go to the game tomorrow, but I'm now very tempted. Other plans have been cancelled so I now have a free day. It will mean I incur the wrath of the Mrs though, I think she is now expecting me to spend the day with her doing fun 'couple stuff'. Added to that, the Rams are at home so the lads I'd usually drag along are otherwise engaged, so it means trekking there and back on my own. Someone please just decide for me!

Bring the missus with you and leave her at the outlet shops. Women love that shit.

If your missus is easily bribed with a meal/night in a hotel etc then it's a no-brainer for me. However if she's the sort to make you feel bad for a week or whatever then she needs to be dumped anyway, as I'm sure you wouldn't do the same to her if she wanted to do something with her mates.

The going alone thing is a non-issue for me, but I appreciate that some people don't enjoy it.

Just tell her you're popping out for a packet of fags, then when you get home shake your head and say "I've never seen a queue like it". You'll be fine
