Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 16:50:23 I honestly cannot see us winning agaisnt Swindon. Might be able to struggle to a draw. Anyway who saw the way they dismantled us at their place cannot hold any great expectation & we were playing better at that stage Their shitting it. We have to go there and right from the off get stuck into them. The crowd will being booing like hell if we go 1 up. It's gonna be awesome :D Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 16:54:45 Their shitting it. We have to go there and right from the off get stuck into them. The crowd will being booing like hell if we go 1 up. Correct on all counts. It's gonna be awesome :D Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 17:13:38 I dunno. They didnt turn on them in the Millwall game, and their crowd know this will be another tough game.
We Fear No One. Play well and we will win! Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 17:36:53 But fair play to Waccoe. They have rumbled Norwich fans.
Pathetic! Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: penhill red on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 18:00:24 But fair play to Waccoe. They have rumbled Norwich fans. Pathetic! Was that about the fake stabbing or something similar? Also why were our fans making throat cutting gestures at them last time? Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: pauld on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 18:11:47 Was that about the fake stabbing or something similar? Also why were our fans making throat cutting gestures at them last time? Small minority of idiots who seem to think the fact two Leeds fans were killed when they played at Galatasary 10 years ago is in some way funny. It's the 10th anniversary this year and there's going to be a minute's silence before the game for the two - hope the sick idiots stay away or are shut up by our own if notTitle: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 18:24:19 Leeds United live within their very own special bubble.
They're not worried about Swindon Town FC, they're worried about their situation and nothing else. They're not really thinking "Oh heck Swindon are a good side with decent players who have the ability to grind out wins". Heck they might not know anything about us other than Charlie Austin and that our name is a couple of places below them in the division. Oh, and "Swindon are won of the team who only beat us because they upped their game against mighty Leeds". Leeds are still a good side with good players: However, we've got a great chance of rubbing salt in their wounds - and I hope and pray that we do. Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Lumps on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:20:06 I think they have noticed us Rich, to quote somneone on the WACCOE site, "Paynter and Austin can rip us a new arse. Again!"
They're also shitting it that Douglas and Sheehan will run rings around them and make their club look like a bunch of dicks. Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:21:48 Sheehan can't play can he?
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Lumps on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:22:56 Sheehan can't play can he? Depends on the terms of the loan Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:24:54 I don't think he can, remember reading it somewhere.
Dougie will be well fired up for this match though :) Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: penhill red on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:31:11 Small minority of idiots who seem to think the fact two Leeds fans were killed when they played at Galatasary 10 years ago is in some way funny. I think I vaguely remember that, didn't one of them get stabbed in the rear end? Or am I getting confused with the Man U fans thtgot done in Roma? Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:37:14 I remember one died at the scene and Kevin Speight died in hospital.
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: penhill red on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 19:53:56 It's still so shocking, I love football, but why the fuck anybody would want to end another persons life over it is beyond me.
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:12:15 Having just watched the highlights of Norwich vs Leeds, and the interviews after, I have come to two conclusions.
1. Leeds raised their game for their cup final and still lost, as shown by Grayson's insistence that if they play that well for the rest of the year they'll go up. 2. Was it Nelson that kicked Douglas in the face in front of the TE? If so, that's two in two weeks now and thankfully Douglas didn't come off half as bad as Becchio. If it was him both times, somebody really needs to have a word. Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:15:05 Whilst I agree completely that it is shocking, do you think they were unprovoked attacks?
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:16:10 The stabbings that is.
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Arriba on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:18:26 i think they were.
just like the attacks they did on arsenal fans too.they attacked shirt wearing fans Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:25:21 Mad bastards!
Didn't they beat Arsenal in the final? Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Arriba on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 20:32:02 yeah on pens
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Dirk Diggler on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 21:12:51 It will be a nightmare if anybody makes any gestures during the minutes silence. Not only is it disrespectful to the fellow fans memory but it will wind their crowd up so much that they may forget how badly they are playing and get behind their team.
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: pauld on Sunday, March 28, 2010, 21:25:42 Whilst I agree completely that it is shocking, do you think they were unprovoked attacks? FFS! You got a part-time job with the Sun or something?Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Crispy on Monday, March 29, 2010, 18:51:17 Biggg Biggg game, cannont wait untill my coach pulls away saturday morning from the car park of the Wiltshire Wembley!
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Tails on Monday, March 29, 2010, 18:57:15 They'll beat us, really can't see them losing another one on the trot. If they're remembering the two lads on the day aswell that'll make them up their game.
Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Lumps on Monday, March 29, 2010, 19:01:23 They'll beat us, really can't see them losing another one on the trot. If they're remembering the two lads on the day aswell that'll make them up their game. Yeah 'cause lets face it, over the last ten games they've managed to beat the likes of Oldham and the mighty Tranmere and errrrrr ................no-one else. Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Ralphy on Monday, March 29, 2010, 19:32:39 They'll beat us, really can't see them losing another one on the trot. If they're remembering the two lads on the day aswell that'll make them up their game. Damm them upping their game. All these tinpot clubs raise their game against us. Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: jonny72 on Monday, March 29, 2010, 19:46:46 2. Was it Nelson that kicked Douglas in the face in front of the TE? If so, that's two in two weeks now and thankfully Douglas didn't come off half as bad as Becchio. If it was him both times, somebody really needs to have a word. That fucking freaked me out on the highlights, one of the worst things I've seen on a football pitch. It looked like Becchio was unconscious by the time he hit the ground, like he'd just been hit by Tyson or something. Good to see he's doing ok. Can he play on Saturday? Don't players have to have a week off from playing if they're knocked unconscious? Or have I made that up? Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: pauld on Monday, March 29, 2010, 20:00:13 If they're remembering the two lads on the day aswell that'll make them up their game. Bollocks. I know as fans we'd all love to think the players think like we do, but especially given some of the self-centred Ashley Cole-alikes in the Leeds squad, half of them probably aren't even aware of it, much less likely to "up their game" for it. They may up their game because they want revenge for the 3-0 spanking at our place. Oh, and because this is their Cup Final, obviouslyTitle: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, March 29, 2010, 20:10:55 Yeah, they're bound to perform well above themselves because they're playing Swindon. It's the story of our season. The sooner we get out of this tin pot league full of tin pot teams, the better.

Don't players have to have a week off from playing if they're knocked unconscious? Or have I made that up? Danny Ward went off against Brighton and played 90 minutes the following Tuesday at Southampton. Although I'm not 100% sure he was fully out and it wasnt half as bad as Becchio Title: Re: Leeds fans seem a bit worried Post by: Crozzer on Monday, March 29, 2010, 21:47:18 Becchio update: Leeds boss Simon Grayson has said Luciano Becchio is "recovering well" after swallowing his tongue against Norwich. The striker was knocked unconscious and was taken to hospital after a clash with Canaries defender Michael Nelson early on in the 1-0 defeat on Saturday. Grayson has praised the treatment the 26-year-old received and says he is doing well as he recovers from the serious incident. The Whites boss told the club's website: "He travelled back with us and he's recovering well. We are monitoring his progress. "The physios and the doctors were terrific with their response." |
