Title: Who is going to Franchise tomorrow?
Post by: Ralphy on Monday, March 8, 2010, 19:14:49
I've got the week off work so I'm gonna make the short 45 min drive from mine to MK tomorrow evening. Who else is going?

You can pay at the gate can't you??

See MK had 14,000+ on Saturday for a fairly meaningless game v Leyton Orient. We've been left behind by these...very sad but true.

New ground, big town = bigger crowds.

Don't be silly Reg.

Tickets were £6 for adults and £1 for kids and they had loads of other events on throughout the day.

Well fair play to them...it's still bums on seats, which has to be better than low crowds.

We are going, after Peterborough & Leicester got promoted & Northampton relegated it's our local game this season.

Added to that it's my son's birthday on Wednesday so we are taking one of his mates (he'll be the one with the Liverpool shirt on I expect).

Got a good feeling about tomorrow. Not sure why, just as I had a bad feeling on saturday. I reckon we'll be gunning for them!

Whatever happens, must avoid defeat.

I'm driving so not really that bothered. Would just be nice to have somewhere to go for a drink before the game.

May try that. On the internet football ground guide it says The 'Red Dot' bar allows away fans. This is part of the new hotel complex next to the stadium.

I couldn't afford to to go this AND Southampton, so I'm saving up for next week.

I don't know, but I'd guess it'll probably be ok. They have plenty of seats in that big bowl of theirs.

We've been through all the arguments many times before.  I'm not going because

(a) I support Swindon; and
(b) I can't go anyway.

Not everyone agrees with my take on (a)...some do, some don't.  Just a different way of looking at the same situation.

Watch the game on Sky, as they cover all the play-off matches.

I hope I can find The Beacon!

Its not really the same though is it? Say we take a 1-0 lead from the first game and face a real chance of getting to Wembley, its about an hour away. Who in their right mind if they have the chance to go would stay at home and watch the game on Sky!!

Title: Re: Who is going to Franchise tomorrow?
Post by: The_Plagiarist on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 11:19:50

Tricky one for sure in that scenario. Still I'd wait for Wembley but let's hope it doesn't come to that!!

looking forward to the game tonight!

We have always gone to Stadium: MK after a defeat and then won (only twice but oh well  :D )

lost at home to colchester last season 3-1 then won 2-1; and this season lost 5-0 to pikeys and won 4-1 in the cup.

Lets hope the same sorta thing happens tonight  :)
