id suggest maybe a full WC fantasy football jobby, pick a world cup squad from all countries entered, no more than 2 from each time (this will need to change) as less teams are in it.

Lets face it, we want something thats gonna last past the group stages. hahah

If you can all agree what you want (squad/fantasy) whatever then i'll do it.

fantasy...is this something to do with fit birds?  Like a stunners WC only dirtier?

What about if each person picks a squad either and then you get points for each correct player and for how well they do (goals/assists etc)

Either everybody could pick an England squad or everyone could get a Country each and you pick a squad for your country.

Any ideas?

Ok, i'm basically stealing Chubbs idea but adding to it a bit.


So after thinking about this - I have decided that what i could do is that we could have 2 linked competitions. Everyone can pick an England squad and the person who gets the most right gets first pick of a country to follow/be their competition team, then the person who gets the second most right picks a country and so on... (this could be either as a sweepstake or just a non-profitable competotion)

What do you think? Any better ideas?

If it was me I'd say bollocks to organising something ourselves and instead just wait until one of the papers or whatever put up a proper fantasy World Cup competition that allows us to set up our own private league in.

Not up to now. However, I've tried to organise this type of thing in the past and it's a nightmare. Let someone else do all the work instead. The squad thing might work ok, but I doubt there's enough variation to give an outright winner.
