Title: Should I?? Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 20:36:38 I have never owned a season ticket before but miss going to football on a regular basis. I am thinking about getting a season ticket at Hearts this season as I think this season could be good. This rich Lithuanian dude is planning to do a mini Romanov and make Hearts the no 1 team in Scotland ( :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: ). George Burley and Nevio Scala are rumoured to be potential new managers at the club with numerous top signings to follow.
So, should I get a season ticket, which I can flog for £15 a match when I don't go, or should I save my money and play saturday afternoon football in the cold and rain? Title: Should I?? Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 20:38:30 When I saw the topic's title in the list my instant reaction was YES. So on that basis it's a yes, even though I don't really care.

Title: Should I?? Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 20:40:50 I've always said to myself that if I lived too far away from Swindon to make more than a third of the games in a season, I'd watch the nearest team instead. On that basis, I say yes.
Janaage might say no though :D Title: Should I?? Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 20:44:18 I still try to get to at least 5 Town games a season, both home and away! If I could afford or be bothered to make an 800 mile round trip every other saturday I would!
Title: Should I?? Post by: walrus on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 21:22:32 I couldn't, but I'm not you. I've tried taking an interest in Crawley, and God forbid even Brighton (before that fateful cold wet night in May and being manhandled by their stewards), but it feels worse than adultery, or stealing from a church collection box. It's just not right. It's unethical. So rather than spending 3 or 4 quid to go and watch Crawley Town, I stick it towards a trip to watch Swindon lose 3-0 at home to Colchester complete with hangover. :|
Title: Should I?? Post by: Batch on Thursday, June 9, 2005, 08:57:48 Talking of long trips I heard someone on the radio from Wiltshire, may even have been Swindon, who is a season ticket holder for.......PSG.
Gets up early and get the Eurostar to Paris, has a bit of lunch, stays over with friends, comes back Sunday. Apparently their season tickets are reasonably cheap (<£200) so he doesn't mind missing the odd game or two. God knows how he gets away with it regaring his wife. Useless piece of trivia really. Edinburg_stfc - Get a tarts season ticket, but don't forget where your footballing roots really are. You may get a visit from the arse rapist to give you a gentle reminder  Title: Should I?? Post by: janaage on Thursday, June 9, 2005, 09:09:53 As Sonic predicted, it's a big no no from JA. Why not take a trip down Easter Road next year, European football, young team playing footie the ways it's meant to be played, come on EdSTFC, it's good to be a Hi-bee!!
Does sound like Hearts could be on the up though. Title: Should I?? Post by: Gazza's Fat Mate on Thursday, June 16, 2005, 11:40:01 You are probably fat so I think you probably need the excercise of playing football to shed some of your excess weight. However if your a skinny bloke go to Herts and stuff your face full or beer and pies! shit scottish football is better than no football at all!
