I reckon 7,000 season ticket holders is the target we should be aiming for at these prices. It's a poor show if we can't break that barrier. Especially since we're pushing for promotion to the Championship.

Student prices are £189 in all stands even after the first 1000 I believe Dave.

Going to get my first one for eons tomorrow. Still not sure whether to relive my youth in the TE, or wear my middle aged slippers in the DRS?

I am getting mine on Saturday.

Along with the two for one offer for Carlisle and Stockport. Does anybody know if it applies to the Town End? It doesn't actually say on the OS, but it would still be a great saving.

I think it does from memory, don't take my word for it though.

I've no idea what I'll be doing next year, what with being in the final year of my degree at the moment. If I have a full time job then a season ticket will definitely be on the cards, but I'll be well past the £199 deadline by the time that gets sorted!

Buy one now and sell it on if you can't use it enough, they're transferrable anyway now.

If I had £199 spare and could guarantee I'd find somebody to pass it on to that would be a good idea!

Just noticed this wording too...

Quote
Existing season ticket holders and new Season ticket holders before 1st May, will get priority play-off bookings, should the club make the play-offs

Thats a good perk as a new ST holder for next year should we make the play offs this season.....

I think the idea is that they sell 1000, people realise the Town End is already more than half full, and buy a full price ticket knowing there'll be a reasonable atmosphere.

do they not have to leave a certain percentage of seats for matchday sales? I know Man Utd for instance can only have 55,000 sason tickets out of their 76,000 capacity roughly.

I'm on the right of the goal as you face the pitch.

On the right of the goal or right behind the goal is best imo. Pretty lively.

I'm so glad the board have done something to fill up the town end.  :D It will be great having it packed out every end. They will def sell those 1000 tickets pretty quickly and then another few hundred. Throw in a couple hundred paying on the day and I can see the Town End being almost at capacity for almost every game!!!

If you want the atmosphere then the TE will hopefully have its mojo back next season thanks to this offer. In that case, sit somewhere in the middle or just to the right of the goal. Higher up is better because the view is even worse down the front! If you want a good view of the game then you're better off in the DRS. Of course, you could always compromise and join KoT's happy clappy batty army at the back of the DRS, near the TE.

Something i have noticed about that crew on the TE side of the DRS is that when we ask the South Stand for a song it is always "wilsons red and white army" call and response with the TE. That does sound cool but I have started to think "you've only got one song"  :D :D ;)

We're the right side would be nice for a change. But I was thinking it doesn't have to always be a call and response type song anyway.

''We're the right side'' is a Pox song and should never be sung at Swindon ever.

I very much doubt they were the first ones ever to sing it!

Did any songs truly originate in Swindon? The celery song I suppose. I don't actually like that tho.

And yes you can choose where your season ticket is.

I renewed mine and my dad's this week and there was a guy in front of me in the queue, who had been to one game this season, his only game for a few years he said.
But he was in there buying a season ticket for him and his son.
I thought fair play to him, hopefully quite a few others will follow suit.

Im going to get one , even though i can only do 10 or so games a season.

Theres not much difference considering its 21 quid or whatever per game in the DRS.

I guess whoever gets a season ticket in the TE to the DRS side will be standing all season.

Pretty much everyone up to the left of the goal stands. Stewards don't even bother telling us to sit down these days because there are too many people who won't.

I bought mine earlier for the DRS. First season ticket ever.

I wont be able to go to every game due to my work shifts, but i will be able to make 12 or so.

Finances mean it makes sense, its only a couple of quid difference to what i wouldve paid.

Got it. And Id just like to say very good service in the ticket office as well. Thanks very much STFC, a true bargain.

Two other blokes were in there, doing the same as me, moving from the DRS back to the TE and looking forward to it.
