I will take that as provocation - but seriously that was the worst eating experience of my life on the way down to the Brighton match on a minibus a while back. Fuck you Gaz. And I will never forgive you. Even the tremendously hideous 'sat under the heat lamps for three hour' breakfast in the Groves or Sir Dans is better than that synthetic crud.

I'm with Batch, their breakfast tastes great when you need some grease to absorb the night before.  You're not going to want a full fry up in the car are you?

Personally I mix it up a bit. When you've worked a 12 hour day the last thing you can be bothered to do is cook, but I do enjoy cooking.

Likewise, I often buy ready made sandwiches for lunch purely because I'm bloody lazy.

I made some home made burgers the other week, must do that again sometime as it's a very cheap dinner.

McDonalds sell Burgers for couple of quid,they fill the gap when your in a hurry.Im sorry to hear the dont meet your culinary needs but they probably arent really aiming to impress you Jay Rayner Master Chef types.

the breakfasts are nice.i go into the one by tk max now and then if i've dropped the kids off. the service that time of day is very good.
the burgers aint that great, but i do indulge now and then on the odd big mac or 3.

The breakfasts are good, can't argue with a bacon roll, hash browns and a cuppa. Although I've only had that once, so maybe I got lucky by going to the right McDonalds at the right time!

Generally the burgers look a bit rubbish, I tend to have something with chicken instead which can be hit and miss but always does the job of filling my stomach, which is all I really expect.

I ate far too many bacon double cheeseburgers when I was driving too and from Wales. They are brilliant

I am with you both, the breakfasts, when served freshly made, are good, the burgers and the rest of the day stuff is utter shit.

The latte's on the other hand are superb.

I dont like McDonalds at all apart from the sausage and egg McMuffin meal and choccy milkshake. Nothing against the principle of fast food though, i love a Bacon Double cheeseburger or Rodeo from BK, and contrary to some opinion, i find the County Ground cheeseburger quite tasty in a cheap and nasty way.

It is dirty but the occasional sausage and egg mcmuffin with a hash brown and large black coffee do find their way into my driving diet!

All nutrition taken out they reappear 2 services later and you know its done no good for you whatsoever.

Most unpleasant.

I have to agree. BK is a million miles better than McDonald's, and the bacon double cheeseburger is the pick of the bunch!

That suprises me. Every McDonalds I have been to on the continent, the staff have spoken better english than the english staff in McDonalds here.

anyway my 2ps worth on Mc Donalds. Hashbrowns and chicken nuggets are the only decent thing to eat. How anyone can eat the chips (sorry... fries) in McDonalds is beyond me. Chips in Burger king are much nicer.

Im not a massive fan - cant remember the last time I ate one - When I was younger - it was seen a massive treat to got to Mcdonalds - like we would go for someones birthday or something - now its seen as everyday food.

I refuse to take my godsons in there anymore as Harry calls chicken Nuggets "chicken yougurt" and no matter how many time I tell him thats not the right words he tells me Im pronoucing it wrong!!

The Bacon Double Cheeseburger I had at the motorway services on the way back from Leeds last season was the best burger I've ever had.
