So they did, and I guess apart from the rotary washing line all they have is Crowded House.  Still, AC/DC are a Scottish band.

OK Malcolm and Angus were born in Scotland but they've lived in Australia since the early 1960's when they must have been about 8 or 9. They're more Australian than anything else. The band was formed in Oz. All the other original members were Australians.

I've always thought of them as Aussie.

Some of you need to expand your repertoire a bit, stop listening to all your shitty "niche" bands to be "different" and get stuck in to some Backstreet Boys (forgive the innuendo).

I have 40ish, I forgot if I was on 33 or 34 towards the end and can't be bothered to do it again :)

Any list of albums that suggests my wife's taste in music is better than mine is just plain wrong.

I don't own any of that list. I used to have the Oasis one, but my dog chewed it up. I think he preferred Blur.

Yeah, only after he snuffed it though.

Not necessarily true.

When MJ died, most people bought "The Essential Michael Jackson" or HIStory as it had all his greatest hits and not just a selection. I would say Thriller was boosted though by the 25th anniversary re-release of the album in 2008 and the subsequent announcement he was going to perform at the 02 prior to his death so everyone would have already had Thriller who wanted it before his death really.

ofcourse people will never really ever see sales like most of these albums again, now people can just download free off the internet etc. Surprised really no Eminem and no Christina Aguilera, 2-Pac or New Kids on the Block who I would consider bigger than say Usher on their day (not that I am a fan of any of those groups)although I guess as I just said due to the internet sales are likely a lot less as people could ahve downloaded most of their stuff (except NKOTB) free.
