Title: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:04:05 Fair play to Leeds. Elland Road looks a bit of a mad house tonight. Stewards struggling to get the fans to sit down in the side stands. More of the big clubs need to experience relegation again, it would make football much better.
Leeds players look tired though. Once the first one goes in for Spurs I cant see a way back this time. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:05:32 hope leeds win so they keep taking their eye of the league.
Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:06:31 I actually felt dirty typing that
Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: pauld on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:07:17 But surely Beckford will score 48 goals? At least that's what you'd think from the build-up he's been getting in the media.
Oh, and what KoT said Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: pauld on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:12:47 hope leeds win so they keep taking their eye of the league. So long as they eventually go out to Notts County on penalties after a replayTitle: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: yeo on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:24:05 Im having a drink every time they say "Leeds Fans are like the 12th man tonight"
Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: yeo on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:24:49 ha! stick your 12th man you Northern fucks
Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:39:44 Yids look like they are getting a bit fed up with it all at half time.
I feel I can give Leeds a bit of respect now Ive seen Swindon stuff them. This is the best cup run by a 3rd tier club for years. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:45:06 They beat Manchester United, fair play, but it's only the 4th Round.
Leeds were forced to a replay by Kettering. I hope they lose. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: DMR on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:45:30 But surely Beckford will score 48 goals? Oh, and what KoT said Come on, he's the outstanding player in our division by streets, he's scored against Man Utd and Spurs. It's not undue recognition is it. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 20:50:07 I tell you what though, Leeds support is really good. It's almost like...call me crazy...like having a 12th man on the field.
Great support, massive club, great history, great tradition, they deserve to be in the Premier League, higher average attendance than all but three Championship clubs...... :emo: :suicide: :deadhorse: Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. True. But when Man United get knocked out of the Cup at Old Trafford you always remmember it. West Ham, Pompey and Leeds in recent years. 3rd tier clubs havnt done a lot in the cup the last 10 years? For me Barnsley provided the best bit of Cup magic in the 2000-10 decade with the Liverpool/Chelsea double. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: donkey on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 21:00:53 is he fuck, he was in cuthberts pocket I know, I just fancied shooting my mouth off. Cuthbert's great. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Clearly this proves we are a better team than Spurs and Man U :) Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: DV on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 21:03:22 True. Although probably the worst bit of cup history 2000-10 was that team not getting a single penalty on target in a shoot out Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: 4D on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 23:31:46 Watched this down the pub tonight........6 maybe 7 wiltshire Leeds "fans" there and one who actually sounded like he came from Yorkshire. This, along with a couple of my buddies, one a Chelsea fan of 30+years support and a rugby league fan ??? ???!! :) ?@. I did point out after about quarter of an hour that town were already 1-0 up at this point in the game, my Chelsea buddy agreed and chuckled.
It's pants being outnumbered by fans of other clubs who are all local and only live 15-20 miles from a decent league club; it's probably what made me mention the score from 8 days ago. Ho Hum. :) Title: Re: Leeds V Spurs. Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 23:32:41 I watched the game with a few Leeds fans. Quite fun.
