I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the last game because without a doubt there are a number of keen strategists amongst us. Therefore I feel that another game is in order.

According to the unification of the Western variation's convention, which occurred as recently as 93 , I get to start this second round because I was the winner of the last one.

I must confess that I started the previous game with "Baker Street" thinking that I would be playing with novices and imbeciles. However I was proven wrong and so from now on I shall respect my foe as a worthy one and be much less complacent.

I have invoked a Jurisdiction Council Plenum on the Stovold web site and the decision is that Dave has breached the Original Rules (plus Turnchapel) and his penalty is two fold:
 
- No further participation in this round.
- He has to start any future rounds at Osterley for a period of three months.

I see we have some serious pros on here. I'm slightly at a loss as where to go from this point. The 1975 Pentagon ruling on horizontal strategy wipes out most of the otherwise legitimate moves, and to go South from this point would naturally violate the terms of the Sao Paolo declaration.
