Title: Peterborough Post by: Summerof69 on Monday, February 1, 2010, 12:56:32 Have now sacked Mark Cooper...after 79 days.
Time to put Barry Fry in charge !!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/peterborough_united/8491260.stm Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Nemo on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:02:33 Paul Hart to Peterborough for six weeks?
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: DV on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:02:43 sooner they get back to L2 the better.
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:42:56 The wheels are beginning to fall off. They were doing a reasonably sensible job and then they got rid of Darren Ferguson.
I follow Non-League football, Cooper was doing a good job at Kettering but I don't think he was anywhere even close to being good enough for Championship management. Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: suttonred on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:47:05 Their chairman has awlays come across as a bell end imo. Can see him throwing a strop and walking when they get relegated.
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Summerof69 on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:52:47 Their chairman has awlays come across as a bell end imo. Fully agree on that. He's made his money in timeshare and property in Spain...which has collapsed in the last year. And even better their next game is against QPR - it's the basket case derby! Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, February 1, 2010, 14:11:39 QPR are still superior.... For now!
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Monday, February 1, 2010, 18:40:20 I'm not sure why they appointed Cooper in the first place. Clearly couldn't cut it if Fergie was struggling as he was. Stupid appointment. Still if they don't learn then maybe Malpas will get the job?
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, February 1, 2010, 18:43:04 I suppose the logic is "we've brought in all of these decent players from Non-League - lets see if we can do the same for the management."
I recall that most of their rumoured candidates were Non-Leaguers. Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Power to people on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 10:08:49 They have given the job to Jim Gannon now proven L1 manager and sacked by Motherwell for not signing a contract
Title: Re: Peterborough Post by: Ardiles on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 10:15:26 Should be a useful appointment for next season then.
