Title: Adver News: Stopper's fury at officials Post by: News Monkey on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:16:53 Stopper's fury at officials
IT is fair to say that referee David Phillips and his assistants won’t be on Phil Smith’s Christmas card list this year. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/4882401.Stopper_s_fury_at_officials/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: Stopper's fury at officials Post by: leefer on Monday, February 1, 2010, 13:41:41 Of course it dosnt really matter now but i was suprised the first goal was given, especially by the linesman....looked really close on TV...win some lose some.

Maybe Im being a bit biased about this but we do seem to have less whingers than most clubs.

The TV angle doesn't make it very easy to form an argument either way, so I'm going to side with Smith and say the officials cost us! :)

Agreed...very noticable in matches now, some of the decisions v Leeds were debatable(for both sides)we kept our heads...Gradel and co didnt. However, I've just come across this on the Southend site which would suggest their first goal probably did cross the line (8th pic from end) but that Smith was right about the ball going out before their second goal (3rd pic from end).
