Oldham are a shambles at the moment. Lad at work knows someone who went on loan there earlier in the season. Says the manager always turns up late, proper booze culture and no team spirit.

And of course, half a ground and not many fans.

I dont really have anything against him, he's done ok on the pitch from what I've seen (Albeit a while ago now!), but I hear he's a bit of an arse off it, just want him off the wage bill. Much rather the money was used to get someone like Ferry signed up on a more permanent basis.

I think he comes across as a bit of a cock to be honest...

Although I may be being a bit harsh - he did have to play in a fairly shite team for most of his time - maybe if he was with better players it would have worked out for him.....

Childish, I know.

As for Aljofree, good luck to him. He is surplus so I hope he finds a new challenge and we free up the wages.

He is/was an ok defender but not captain material.

No strong feelings either way.

Yeah he was good up until he got the captains armband I thought.

I think he prefers getting stuck in while someone else leads the backline. He'd do well alongside Greer I think.

Ah well, not a huge loss, but if i'm totally honest i'd rather have kept him until the summer, hope we don't have to rely on the youth of Morrison during the run in.

I remember on his debut for us people were comparing him to Calderwood - that comparison slipped pretty rapidly, but he wasn't nearly as bad a some people made out. He was also playing in a poor team with even worse morale - if he turned up as a new signing now, I've no doubt he'd be alright.

Hope he gets the move.

Aljofree had a go at the fans - from that point that was his legacy cemented for many.

Before, he was an adequate player in a mediocre side.

He's had a decent football career but it didn't work out for him here in the end... So be it.

He played last night for Oldham reserves against M'Boro reserves. Not sure how he got on. Score was 0-0.

Wilson's comments seem rather blunt. By that I mean that there was no "He will be missed" or "We wish him well" or "Good servant to the club".....etc etc

I get the impression that Wilson is glad to see the back of him.

Hope he gets the move.

Have to see how he gets on at his next club....................

He made it pretty clear he wasnt enjoying playing at Swindon, then he got injured for a year. I sympathise that it must have been a terrible 18 months for him.

Although they are different types of centre back, I think there are a lot of comparisons with Sean O'Hanlon. Both were players who had decent reputations who we were dependent on, they lost both form over the summer break and the 2 respective teams slumped.

HASNEY Aljofree admits he is unconcerned about Swindon’s plight now,

Plight? WTF? And this Marshall guy is supposed to be a professional journalist, methinks he needs a dictionary.

Considerably more complimentary version from Hasney before it was rewritten to an agenda. Could the Adver possibly be rabble-rousing?

Fs Hasney, let them know that Douglas is our key man why don't you? I was quite enjoying everyone thinking we just had two good strikers and our midfield was crap.

Anyone mentioned this?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/o/oldham_athletic/8661986.stm

Reading that article the big dissapointment is that Oldham realised he was rubbish in 3 months and it took us 3 years.

Saw the Yeovil third goal last week, Hasney just looked around with the expression of WTF had just happened when the ball was in the net.

Definitely a chequered time at the CG, but I'll always manintain that he was pretty fkin decent in his 1st season with us.

Looks like he's at the top of a steep hill.
