Ditto, it just seems like stalking to me.

I dont really see the point, dont you basically just tell people what you are doing?

I looked into it and didn't really see the point. It seems to be more for attention seeking celebs than normal folk.

Or normal folk who think that everybody else actually gives a shit what they are doing.

I use it, never tweet but find it quite useful for keeping up with news, music releases and stuff, and also for trying to share the pieces of work I do

I've only been on it the once today, but seems quite good for news, but other than that, don;t really get it. see what happens.

Used it for Worldnet last year, was alright for that but can't really see the point keeping one up on my own, I don't do anything interesting enough to merit telling people.

Sadly, neither do a lot of the people who actually do use it.

I use it but normally read more in the way of news etc. than post (although I do post occasionally)

Looked at it once, utter bollocks, boring people, talking about their boring lives. (bit like here really ;) )

I can't imagine for one second that anyone would care what I am up to on a daily basis.  I think the whole thing is a bit weird.

Ahh Twitter. Hate the thing. What's the point in it? No one really wants to know what I had for breakfast or how my day at work was. Besides isn't that what a status update on Facebook is for?

Seems a bit like the internet equivalent to the pager really.

And how fucking pointless were pagers.

Pagers are NOT pointless

When i was little and watched football with my dad he'd always get the scottish football results sent to his pager at half time and full time.

Not so pointless now are they

twitter is pointless. once you accept that fact, it all becomes a lot clearer

I like it,I dont really tweet but I like following people.People who work for the BBC have to get thier Tweets approved since Sachs Gate.Richard Bacon used to be fun on Twitter but he seems to scared now.I mainly follow Comedians and Comedy Writers becasue I expect them to amuse me..they rarely do, but it wastes 10 minutes of my life so its all good.

The British Comedy Guide website has a good list of whos who on Twitter

I remember I once recited some of the lyrics to a Tupac song to a pager operator because my mate told me to. I think he was too scared to say 'bet I roll on yo ass like an avalanche' down the phone.

Anyone on twitter should be following Phil Brown. It's not actually him, but it's completely hilarious.

http://twitter.com/PBphilbrown is the one.

Peter Serfanowic (no I can't spell it) is actually pretty funny on Twitter - largely unlike real life. Otherwise most people are either just chuntering on about their lives - Fry - advertising their blogs and books - David Mitchell - or making cheap point about the Daily Mail - graham linehan.
Why do I bother then? Because I have a three hour commute - same reason I'm here.

http://twitter.com/being_roy_keane has a few gems:

@PhilBrownHull The knobend can stick his petty resentment up his bollocks. Let's face it - in every department just a poor man's Peter Reid.
