After watching Leicester,WBA and Cardiff fans booing constantly during the match it got me thinking i hope it dosnt happen at the County Ground.....these teams are doing really well...Leicester were booing after half hour!
Bolton are bad as well....if this is the sign of the times god help us....total shite booing your team before the end in my opinion.

You have to go all the way back to the malpas  years to remember our team getting boo'd mid game.

I booed a fair few times when Malpas was here. Quite frankly because i'd paid hard earned money to watch a load of shite. I have nevr booed in game though only at half time or full time unless it's aimed at an opposition player or the ref.

To show dissatisfaction at numerous shit performances TT ;) Though I saved it until after the game.

I've booed plenty of times - always after the final whistle.  As fans we are entitled to let our feelings known - but it will never help to do it during the course of a game.

But I contend that it is omnidirectional. How can either:

i) one player, ii) a couple of players, iii) the team, iv) the manager, v) the directors

...know that it is aimed at them?

If you apply common motivation methods, you don't (for example) tell an employee that he is a cunt and useless if he is failing because he will get even more demotivated. What you do is to to encourage and support to get a better performance.

Perhaps football is different, but I don't see how it works to boo.

I don't think its a reasoned management technique, more a visceral reaction to looking forward to a game all week only to be served up a dog's dinner of a performance by a bunch of players who appear not to give a fuck.  Football isn't always rational - it would be boring if it was.

I reckon as a player i would be more pissed of at people behind a keyboard telling me i am a cunt or shit etc or that my wife is fucking ugly.

I've booed us before, and I've been to hundreds of games, home and away, since I was 4 years old. Because if we're cunting rubbish, as we have been many times, why the christ should I applaud? It doesn't make me any less of a fan, just an honest/realistic one.

We're not that bad for boo'ing. It didn't even get that bad towards the end of Malpas and the football they were playing at the time was quite often pretty shocking. Doing it when your team is in the top 6 is pretty sad.

Self explanatory:-

1) Booing - the players
2) "We want <manager> out" - the manager
3) "Sack the board"/orange hats - the direcotrs.

I fucked off just before the end shouting that it was an insult.  I had to make sure i was at work on time and booing just seemed a little lazy to me after that.

I boo every single time one of our players does something wrong. We should never let in goals, misplace passes, miss chances or lose games.

If people would stop for a second and consider how fucking stupid they sound, no one would say 'booo'.

I think the word 'booo' should be banned altogether.  People should be forced to say 'mooo' instead.  That would stop them.

I proberly would have only this once if i had not left the ground after the 3rd. But i haven't booed Swindon ever and don't plan on doing so either. I hate it when the team gets booed off, and if it happens at all this season thats a joke! We are 6th ffs.

The thing about this is that the teams that are being booed are doing quite well. Leicester have just been pomoted and are challenging for the play-offs but are still getting booed. Makes no Sense.

I honestly think that I have never booed a Swindon performance.  I've had a go at quite a few people for being excessively negative though.  I think we should go the full hog and applaud or boo our own performances at fans as well, why stop at the team.  Do fans of teams like Halifax, Rochdale and Darlington spend more time booing than cheering?

I've walked out of games early, Can't remeber booing as during the 'bad times' i was pretty much shit faced to care. However I can understand why people boo, Football is a passionate game, so all logic goes out of the window.

Many people on here have supported swindon since childhood, so a good few years (22 years in my case!), its in their blood, people get passionate, people get pissed off, and above all, people pay their money to go to football.

So when you see a team and player not 'performing' like paid professionals like they are, what do you expect to happen
