I see this is due to start next Monday. Be interested to see how much time we're given, if any.

Looks like Jonathan Pearce will be presenting and we'll be in the "South, South West and West" region:

Which I guess means we'll be with; Bristol City, Plymouth, Bristol Rovers, Southampton, Yeovil, Exeter, Brighton, Bournemouth, Aldershot and Cheltenham. Maybe a couple of others dependent on where the cut off is.

Either way, we should do pretty goo as one of the top teams in the region.

It's got to be better than that Soccer Night shit that used to be on ITV.

Lets see if BBC can offer better than ITV, who I once remember showing twenty odd minutes of a Bristol City game that was abandoned mid way through, whereas we got 2 minutes of our completed game.

The BBC tend to do regional / minority stuff far better than ITV, plus when it comes to sport the BBC have a massive army of presenters and reporters to call on most of which are half decent especially compared to the shit ITV drags up.

If you have Sky then it should be good for all the peeps who dont live in the area as they show all the different regions on the following channels.

Virgin are wankers and only broadcast the one regional channel which is often a pain as we sit in the middle of a number of regions. You'd have thought they'd just need to press a few buttons to send all the channels to everyone.

I agree. My gran was on points west over Xmas and we couldn't watch it in Wantage as the regional news is BBC Oxford and poxy virgin as you say only has 1 regional channel. Thankfully my sister has Sky Plus and managed to record it.

Do people no longer have television aerials then?

My aerial is fucked and has been for some time, so it can't pick up a strong enough digital signal. Having to pay £50 to £100 to have someone come out and fix it is a bit pointless when I've got Virgin. They need to stop being twats and plug in the feeds for all the regional channels, I can't believe it would be that difficult - they could just add a satellite dish to each distribution point and pick the signal up from Sky.

I wouldn't want to watch analogue telly on a regular basis, but for a one off desperate viewing it's an option.

It looks like Late Kick Off is coming back, except that Football Italia's James Richardson will be fronting it. At least it won't be all Bristol City 1982, more terrible puns and ice-cream.
