Title: Game Yesterday
Post by: AtGameYesterday on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 15:28:20
i was at the game, in the Fulham end, because my team played friday, ( Stevenage Borough - In Conf Prem)
& me and my mate both said, how you clearly should have won, and the AJ Pen, was deff not a penalty, and the fulham fans around us wanted your keeper sent off. Fulham atmosphere was shockingly shit,  Stevenage's 652 @ Cambridge last saturday was more noise, and yours was amazing, i wish we got tickets in your end, if they were general sale.
But Good luck for league one :)

are you lot from oxford / around oxford then?
because we heard songs on the way back to tube station
'we hate oxford' and loved it;

+ We would, only thing is, they have three games in hand, but two are tricky teams

feb 10th,
we got them at our place; that'll be the title decider

I am from south oxfordshire, but that doesnt make that much difference. Every Swindon fan hates Oxford because they are pure cunts.

Oxford is 40 miles from Swindon and they are our fiercest rivals

fair play
i guess there ours too because there only about an hour away from Stevenage;
and we dont have many teams around us,
but we'll bury them, and the only way they'll go up is in the play off's and they fucked it up last season [just like us]

was there tickets still available for your end?
on general sale?

It was a penalty, but never a red card in a million years. If he'd kept the ball in play he'd have done well, let alone get a shot off. And yes, their fans were poor. All the best for the rest of the season.

damn, we bought fulham tickets in advance because we thought you'd sell out and so would fulham on general sale; id of took the bad view;
+ you was standing, which is better.

+ watch the replay of the pen; i saw it last night on highlights; looked like noone touched him,

how many do you average a game?

Yep. Hopefully attendances are on the up though, since we've started performing a bit more consistently. We got 8500 against Yeovil despite a shockingly low turnout from them, and hopefully yesterday's day out will encourage a few more back through the gates in the near future.

Thats not a bad average so far considering we still got Leeds and Rovers to come down

From Sainsburys to Oxford Centre is just under 30 miles..i do it regular..the low bridge is 13ft 6 ins..my lorry is 13ft 8 ins..in theory i shouldnt get under but i do by i inch as they always give you a few extra inches to thwart the twatty lorry drivers like me who like adrenalin.....every time i go under ize duz cringe still.

Weve only had 1 team on the bank so far this season. Weve got Rovers, Norwich, Leeds, Charlton all potential sell outs still to come. Plus if we are in the play offs that makes a big difference. I rekon we can average 10,000 this season come the end.

I think we had Stevenage in a JPT game a few years ago. From what I remmember some of the Stevenage fans complained about the aggressive manner of Town fans at the game, so sorry about that, we love you really, all the best, you can smash the Pox.

I don't think Charlton will bring that many. Their away support is supposed to be pretty poor.

Title: Re: Game Yesterday
Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 19:57:59
I dont understand how they can get 17,000 at home and not have decent away support?

We also had the League cup 2 years ago, so it wont even be a new ground for most of their away supporters.

Should still be a good crowd, and a good game.

The attendance for the Leeds game will be lower due to it being a tuesday night. I reckon 11 to 12 k maybe?

Nah, Leeds will sell out this season, even on a tuesday night.

Remember when they hammered us when we were both in the 2nd tier. Only brought about 1000 then. They were flying up the top of the table at the time I think.

Nah, Leeds will sell out this season, even on a tuesday night.

I *think* Leeds United have sold out all but one of their away allocations since they have been in L1.

I don't think they have sold their full allocation yet.

Leeds took 3000+ to Rovers on a Tuesday night, no reason why they wouldn't do the same here.

I think Ralphy might have been on about less home fans showing up.

As I said, in 2 and a half seasons Leeds have sold out them all apart from one.
