Just heard a Danny Wilson interview on Radio Ulster because it was his 50th birthday.
When asked about the Northern Ireland job he certainly didnt rule himself out and his reasoning was that he was 50 and all he has is memories. He said a year ago his answer would have been no, but now he doesnt know.

Have a look out for it, but it seems to me that if he was offered the job he would love the opportunity to take Northern Ireland to a major finals competition.

Even as a Northern Ireland fan, I would hate to see this happen.. we need to keep hold of Danny.

I wouldn't blame him he decided to take such a position. I imagine the Norn Iron F.A. would talk to him but whether they'd give him the job is another thing.

True, Worthington seems set to get the Sheff Wed job which leaves Sanchez(walked out before), Magilton (perennial failer)and Wilson, lets hope he doesnt get offered it..

I'd hate to see him go but if he'd offered it and wants to take it you couldn't blame him. I'd be pissed if it was another club but managing your country is a bit different.

I agree with the sentiment etc in managing his country but to see how far we've come under his management, it worries me thinking about who Fitton would get as a replacement.

On a more positive note, were hopefully worrying about nothing!

I'd be quite pissed off if he does go to NI because:

a) If it was a proper country fair enough, but Norn Iron? Fuck off
b) It's not his country, he's from bloody Wigan. Which last time I checked is not in Co Antrim

No, not at all. If and when he's interviewed for the England manager's job, I'd understand. But if he fucks off to manage some provincelet which Wigan is manifestly not part of, I'll be proper cross.
