Title: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: BelfastRobin on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 15:54:05 Just heard a Danny Wilson interview on Radio Ulster because it was his 50th birthday.
When asked about the Northern Ireland job he certainly didnt rule himself out and his reasoning was that he was 50 and all he has is memories. He said a year ago his answer would have been no, but now he doesnt know. Have a look out for it, but it seems to me that if he was offered the job he would love the opportunity to take Northern Ireland to a major finals competition. Even as a Northern Ireland fan, I would hate to see this happen.. we need to keep hold of Danny. I imagine the Norn Iron F.A. would talk to him but whether they'd give him the job is another thing.
Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: BelfastRobin on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 16:05:28 True, Worthington seems set to get the Sheff Wed job which leaves Sanchez(walked out before), Magilton (perennial failer)and Wilson, lets hope he doesnt get offered it..
Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: jonny72 on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 19:12:43 I'd hate to see him go but if he'd offered it and wants to take it you couldn't blame him. I'd be pissed if it was another club but managing your country is a bit different.

I'd be pissed if it was another club but managing your country is a bit different. Agreed. Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: Batch on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 22:32:47 If Wilson left, it would be a disaster for us. Yup, but you can see why he might want to manage his country. And i don't reckon Fitton is the type to stand in his way. Lets hope NI go for someone else. Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: Luci on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 22:35:53 I agree with the sentiment etc in managing his country but to see how far we've come under his management, it worries me thinking about who Fitton would get as a replacement.
On a more positive note, were hopefully worrying about nothing! Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: DV on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 22:46:04 Our managers never last a full season.
Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: pauld on Saturday, January 2, 2010, 22:50:39 I'd be quite pissed off if he does go to NI because:
a) If it was a proper country fair enough, but Norn Iron? Fuck off b) It's not his country, he's from bloody Wigan. Which last time I checked is not in Co Antrim Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 00:38:39 Can't blame him for wanting to manage "his country" can you? Will be dissapointing to lose him though.
Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: pauld on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 02:35:48 Can't blame him for wanting to manage "his country" can you? No, not at all. If and when he's interviewed for the England manager's job, I'd understand. But if he fucks off to manage some provincelet which Wigan is manifestly not part of, I'll be proper cross.Title: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 14:41:38 No, not at all. He has played alot of gamjes for them maybe it would be something that would make his family proud etcTitle: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: pauld on Sunday, January 3, 2010, 14:42:51 Really? He has played alot of gamjes for them maybe it would be something that would make his family proud etc Tony Cascarino played a lot of games for Ireland. And I wasn't being entirely serious. But I'd be pissed off to lose himTitle: Re: Wilson Interview on Radio Ulster Post by: Batch on Friday, January 8, 2010, 18:05:10 BBC seem to think Worthington will sign a new NI contract. Phew!
