Title: Music recommendations
Post by: spacey on Thursday, December 31, 2009, 12:08:55
I've managed to lose complete touch with the music scene. Fortunately I have done this while still remaining fashionable. Over the festive period I was given a bunch of music vouchers for popular music store HMV. What am I going to get? I'm a sucker for psychedelicy, garagey, guitary stuff. When I say garagey, I mean in the purist Billy Childish, The Gories, Pebbles sense, not that wanky pretend stuff that Blinkpip likes.

Any suggestions as to what I might enjoy?

But I like music. I suggest that you are not looking hard enough.

Killwhitneydead? They sound a bit heavy metal to me. Any band that wears make up is definitely out.

You would have to have listened to every tune ever recorded to reach such a conclusion.

Ill keep on banging on about The Manchester Orchestra.  The album mean everything to nothing is marvellous, and live they bought to mind nirvana, my bloody valentine and the pixies amongst a lot else.

Incidentally, for the person who mentioned marina and the diamonds.  Marinas surname?  Diamandis.  No idea if its any relation
