Title: Books
Post by: swindonbob on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 00:27:36
Im not much of a reader - I usually wait until I go on holiday before bothering. But I fancied buying one the other day but had absolutely no idea what I wanted.
The last four books I read were:

Yes Man - Danny Wallace
Curious Incident of Dog in the nighttime
The last Harry Potter one
The Game - Neil Strauss

Any current recommendations?

I've just started 'child 44', which is sposed to be very good. And recently finished 'the house of special purpose' which was fan-fucking-tastic! 'Cloud atlas' and 'number 9 dream', both by david mitchell, are good too.

If you're after something light and very funny try: Don't Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs: (She Thinks I'm a Piano Player in a Whorehouse) by Paul Carter.

I wasn't expecting much from it but it has some genuine piss yourself moments.  Well worth a read.
