Title: Cod Fillets Post by: 4D on Thursday, December 17, 2009, 21:53:44 I bought some cod fillets tonight because I love fish. Has anyone got a decent recipe idea for them rather than the usual thing I do, namely shoving them in some foil with a bit of butter and lemon juice, then in the oven?

Title: Re: Cod Fillets Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, December 17, 2009, 21:57:11 I would lightly flour the cod and cook in butter on a skillett. Make a quick sauce with cream and dill (boiled up together until thickens).

Or i like it on some fried mushrooms(the big ones) with a poached egg on top with plenty of black pepper. Also you could dip them in egg then breadcrumb then fry....but to be fair the way you cook them is probably best. Make a quick sauce with cream and dill (boiled up together until thickens). Alternatively substitute chopped red onions and green peppercorns for the dill (fry them in butter until soft first). I will post a recipe for sexual cod at the weekend if I remember. Alternatively have a look on the L&P food forum, I'm sure I put one on there some time ago. I've just found a recipe where you have cod wrapped in ham/sun-dried tomatoes/basil. Cod Curry also sounds nice. Title: Re: Cod Fillets Post by: sonicyouth on Thursday, December 17, 2009, 23:33:11 how about soaking it in caustic soda?

Gross Title: Re: Cod Fillets Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, December 18, 2009, 00:38:06 what about that rotten fish the Swedes eat?!! Eating something that's properly rotting, or at least smells like it is very rotten, would take some seriously strong guts.
