"I thought I would buy it, because I wanted proof that I had seen it."

Mrs Phillips, who dyes her own ginger hair.

Hmm.

Tesco has today apologized after stocking a card on the shelves offensively reading "Santa loves all children. Even ginger ones".

They have assured all customers that the member of staff who mis-spelt "except" has been sacked.

:D

I'm ginger and find it funny as fuck. However, change the word ginger to black, is that still ok?

I DO NOT LOVE THE GINGER ONES, SAYS SANTA
15-12-09

SANTA Claus last night condemned ginger haired children, insisting they freak him out and will never be welcome at the North Pole.

Santa issued an angry statement after it emerged the supermarket chain Tesco was selling Christmas cards claiming he regarded ginger children as being equal to other kinds of children.

He said: "I want to make it absolutely clear that I do not love the ginger ones. In fact, I hate them. They make me physically sick.

"Whenever I see one I get totally creeped out. It's like their little ginger fingers are crawling all over my body. And they smell absolutely revolting.

"Occasionally one of them will wake up during the night and I'll drop down the chimney only to find myself face to face with this abomination.

"They give my reindeers the most appalling diarrhea and the elves suffer from horrifying, vivid nightmares which, as I'm sure you can imagine, leads to some very disturbing toys.

"Couldn't we make them all go and live on the Isle of Man or something? Or what about Wales? That would certainly make me a lot jollier."

But Davinia Phillips, a mother of three gingers from York, has complained to Tesco insisting the card contravenes her right to have everything exactly the way she wants it all the time and to never be annoyed by anything.

Santa added: "Everyone knows that if you hug a ginger child it will explode."

There's something about that phrase "a mother of three gingers" that tickles the very cockles of my laughter valves.

"The ASA subsequently received three complaints that the ad was offensive to people with ginger hair because it suggested that they are not attractive."

3 (three) complaints.

And as we know each complaint equates to a billion people. So three billion people found this card offensive.

If i can just put on my serious hat for a moment, as an (almost) fully grown adult i found nowt wrong with this card, and in fact raised a smile. The issue's not with adults though, it gives further ammunition for ginger kids to get bullied. And whichever way you dress it up, that can't be a good thing

Santa Clause isn't real. Does that mean that nobody loves ginger kids?

Surely the card is actually trying to start an outreach campaign the bring the gingers back into the human race, which should be applauded.  If Santa likes them, then maybe we can all begin to put our prejudices aside?
