Title: Shopping Post by: tans on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 08:41:43 Good morning.
I need to go and do some xmas shopping today, and have tired of Oxford and Banbury. Swindon is just within my sane driving distance, whats it like for shopping, any good? Cheers Title: Re: Shopping Post by: flammableBen on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 08:44:28 Depends what you want. Town centre is a shit hole. I didn't even know the outlet village was still there until my sister was going a few weeks ago.
Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Sippo on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 08:50:57 Birmingham. Can't be that far from you?
Title: Re: Shopping Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 09:53:16 parking is easy and cheap in swindon.
Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 09:56:21 As a shopping expert! Swindons not the prettiest place but it will have all the shops you need I suspect
other than that there's always Cribbs or Cabott circus? I would recommend the train to Cabott though as parking is Ming and expensive Title: Re: Shopping Post by: tans on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 09:58:11 where is cabott circus? never heard of it

We went last Sunday and it was £2 all day in the main Cabots Car Park - we were there for almost 6 hours !! They also have a FAB German Market there at the moment - might be more on the Sausage thread but they do a mean Bratwurst !! Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 15:17:01 Do you realise just how gay that last post sounded sheepshagger?

Title: Re: Shopping Post by: pumbaa on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 16:25:26 Cabot Circus is fine if you have a bottomless wallet.
Cribbs is manically busy at the moment, so I'm told. So 'er indoors has decided to trot around there with an 11 month old tomorrow. Followed by Ikea. Wish me luck........ Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 16:33:12 I had a bottomless wallet once. All the money fell out.

Title: Re: Shopping Post by: ronnie21 on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 19:14:23 Went to the Designer Outlet Village last night, got wife's Xmas pressies all in one shop (Automony), bloody good value I thought. An all wool winter's coat, reduced from £100 to £10, a small jacket reduced from £55 to £15 and a pair of trousers reduced from £29 to £6! £31 and all sorted, only £1 to park for up to five hours. Must remember to take the price tags off, she will think I have pushed the boat out!!

Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Talk Talk on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 19:21:18 I am going to the Trafford Centre at the weekend to finish mine off. I bloody love that place! A few years back I did a router install contract for JD Sports, I visited just about every shopping centre in the UK. I completely agree with you Luci - awesome place. Title: Re: Shopping Post by: tans on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 08:45:43 Is there still an Outlet Village at Bicester? Yes and its shit, expensive and full of cunts Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 08:49:06 But the Diesel shop is good...

Title: Re: Shopping Post by: tans on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 13:32:17 lakesides alright
Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 13:35:50 But I got very tired by the time I had walked round it
What annoyed me was I went to Lakeside and brought something in New Look! I could have done that in Bloody Chippenham Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Ardiles on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 14:12:48 oracle in reading is good if it's not too far Tans? I'd second that (or third it after Juddie.) We use Guildford and Reading most often. The Oracle is mainly chains but, unlike Swindon, you do get the high end chains/department stores and a fairly decent (if small) selection of independents as well. Title: Re: Shopping Post by: pumbaa on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 19:48:52 Bloody Chippenham Gone downhill since I left that place I see....... Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 20:10:16 On the subject of shopping, my daughter wants a nintendo ds.What are they like any good? what sort of price are we looking at? i'm shit at computer stuff so don't know good deals or not tbh

Title: Re: Shopping Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 23:41:18 The most impressive thing about Lakeside was that there were some very tidy looking girls there, much to my surprise.
