shit, thats why i havent heared from my parents today.

Can say i've ever noticed a problem with imigrants in the savoy, majority of staff seem to be english, unless its in the back.

I did hear a bunch of lads walking near my house about 12/1am chanting what sounded like football songs, so may be related

It may have been something to do with a bookies in Market St being robbed - not sure if they are connected

I was down town early evening and passed the Savaloy around 6:30, just the usual collection of wandering immigrants, pissed up no hopers and chavs seeking the meaning of life.

By the time I got home, the police helicopter was out doing its pointless business, WTF did they ever move the police station to the back of beyond completely escapes me, 4 or 5 coppers on the beat would sort a lot of this stuff.

I still think it's stupid how they built a new police station in West Swindon only to knock it down a few years later.

Westlea wasn't built right in the first place. For example all the pipes underneath for the sewage were wrong and often flooded. The place was a death trap.

I didn't know they had....I thought it was strategically placed to keep a watch on the good citizens of Toothill.

There used to be a fine police station in Old Town, not only did it get closed, but the pleasing stone building was knocked down and replaced by a nondescript brick structure.

The cell door though is still to be found in the Bath Road Museum.

Was a bleeding big police station in Gorse Hill...in fact its still there next to the aptly named Peel Walk.

Very similar in style to the OT example...Gorse Hill, sensibly turned into some sort of accommodation.

Swindon BC old people's accommodation.  Surprising how many police flats there were behind the main building.

They have got rid of a few of the smaller ones in recent years, they built one by Asda in North Swindon which was used as a cop shop to start with then they closed it and it is now only used as a rest area, there was one in park south years ago that was knocked down.

There should be more coppers in local areas on foot instead of driving round in their cars keeping warm, I'm sure if there was a precence in some areas there would be less crime.
