Title: south africa 1 day series Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 12:04:31 cracking performance this morning, watching the highlights as we speak. we should finish them off pretty easy to go 2-1 up.
following the fall of one south african wicket did anyone see the bloke in our home top waving a st georges cross? :) Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: leefer on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 12:27:30 Andersons looking a real top bowler these days....the test series should be good viewing.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Nemo on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 12:53:28 47 from 204 balls with 10 wickets in hand. We should just about limp home here.

At least we're competing now. I don't think we'll win this series but to get 2 or 3 wins against a good SA side on their own turf is not bad.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 14:22:23 not bad? its fucking ace, we are 2-1 up with one to go, well played england.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 14:45:11 I thought there were 7 games for some reason so that's even better.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Summerof69 on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 14:52:42 following the fall of one south african wicket did anyone see the bloke in our home top waving a st georges cross? :) Just catching the highlights...and I've seen him after the McLaren wicket. Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: DMR on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 17:44:01 Andersons looking a real top bowler these days....the test series should be good viewing. That's cos he is. Jimmy and Broady are gonna be the best new ball pair in the world in 18 months. Gods. Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Nemo on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 23:35:24 Going a bit far there DMR, Anderson is quality but I'd rather have Dale Steyn.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: DMR on Monday, November 30, 2009, 02:24:20 Steyn's so overrated it's unbelievable. Not even as quick as Jimmy at the moment and doesn't do anything with it.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Nemo on Monday, November 30, 2009, 09:04:49 170 test wickets in 33 games at an average of 23? Interesting version of overrated.
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: land_of_bo on Monday, November 30, 2009, 14:00:23 Yes but DMR is the font of all that is cricket in the absence of boeta
Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: Boeta on Monday, November 30, 2009, 16:54:42 steyn > anderson
jimmy a has made massive improvements but can still be pretty average when its not going his way - such as the last two tests in the ashes steyn is the best fast bowler in the world - saying he doesn't move it is laughable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5KF1Lk-Mxs Title: Re: south africa 1 day series Post by: DMR on Monday, November 30, 2009, 17:48:26 I was steaming when I wrote that... I love Dale Steyn. Jimmy is a god though I stand by that.
