I've been quite happy with the way JFL has been playing recently as well. Strange signing.

Good player, but not sure why we need another left back when we've got JFL and Kennedy.

JFL moves to cover for CB and LB now I guess. Morrison could well be a goner in Jan if Sheehan impresses.

Lescinel has a lot to learn he is still weak defensively with both his reading of the game and his positional play being poor and he is the weak link in our current 11, if you noticed Huddersfield were aiming for the long ball in behind him all the time the other night as they felt it was there best chance of success.  

It will do Lescinel good to have some healthy competition in there as Callum is looking a bit weak for this level and needs to bulk up a bit as he gets pushed off the ball comfortably.

Also Sheehan could be a more defense minded left winger when were trying to shut up shop away which is difficult when you have McNamee as he does no tracking back.  Good signing in my opinion.

I'm happy with LJF in there, although maybe one will play left wing.

I just feel abit deflated as earlier in the week the club was talking of a premiership and championship player coming in and we end up with Alan Sheehan and it looks like our most creative player is going out. If this happens i feel we would have a weaker squad ( especially going forward) however i hope i am proved wrong and we get somebody else in and 2bh i dont want McNamee to go.

Disagree with fuck all success when the goal was scored by Lescinel backing off his man, yes the guy hit a screamer but if he had been closed down quicker the shot could of been blocked.

I think he's been signed to play left back.  

LFJ has his moments ie the 2nd goal on tues but he has also been hauled off at half time for being utterly shite this season.  He's far too random for a left back.

For me left back has been a problem position this season - LFJ could put in any kind of performance at any time and Kennedy whilst a decent footballer has been exposed as being weak at times.

Seen him play for Leeds and Oldham, decent player. I like most aren't wanking over McNamee because he did a couple of step overs when he got here.

I think we get the point though. You don't like Macca. Bit funny to say Sheehan is better already though considering we don't know if he'll be LB or LM, if he'll play shit or good.

On another note, I see Bushey Boy has signed for Luton on loan.

Sheehan will bolster the left side, but also will provide cover for Douglas in midfield.  This is a very good signing.

He's a good free kick taker, something we haven't had for ages.

Sheehan played very well for Crewe at the CG in march.We were linked with him in august,
perhaps Leeds have only just made him available,when we saw him more as a january transfer target?

McNamee has gone to Norwich till the 4th, which is pretty certain to turn in to a permanent move.

It could depend on how well the loan goes for all parties involved

I like the idea of Sheehan, because he's one of those players that's solid. Wilson has been building the team around solid players, rather than players who are amazing one minute shocking the next. It fills me with confidence that we're only getting stronger.

It gives us options. JFL has his moments where he forgets how to defend. Kennedy just isn't ready.

And hes got a belting free kick - could add a few more goals.

As I said in the Macca thread, i think Wilson sacrificed Macca's crosses for more goals from midfield.

We should start playing Peacock on the left wing, we'll score loads more from midfield :)

Gregg Abbott the Carlisle manager said Sheehan was premiership class after Oldham beat Carlisle...now i know thats pushing it but looks a good signing to me.

With Douglas and Lucas already here, I expect the deal will become permanent.  Lack of a left back nearly relegated us last season, JFL arriving was important to our survival.  Who knows, he might be in the mix for a midfield place with Macklin and O'Brien.

That is of course absolutely right.  Jamie made a huge difference when he returned to the side.

Alan O'brien is fit now.He is pacier and also works hard at his defensive duties

But is he any good at those defensive duties? Fair enough if he is, i'l take his pace over the step overs for sure, but he's had a career of injuries - he's probably just going to be Corr all over again..yay.

I don't think we've seen enough of him to make a judgement on any aspect of his play. Agree his injury record ain't great so I hope we get to find out.
