He seems to have switch to Radio Bristol, was reporting on the Rovers at Charlton last night

I was actually thinking how much I enjoyed Sean Hodgitts last night though? He asks more probing questions but in a nice way??

Ed's a Town fan, isn't he?  Poor chap.

Not by birth, maybe by adoption, in the same way as managers/players who've been at a club for a while "always look out for their results" when they leave. Except the affection is genuine in Ed's case. Shaun's Town born and bred

No Eds a , erm,, can't remember which club he supports. Derby or some Midlands team I think.

Chesterfield lad by birth, but I also can't remember if he actually supports them. But he's one of ours now. Bwahahaha

I must admit I thought he was the same as Jed Pitman....a Notts County fan, not certain though.

Pretty sure he's not County (see what I did there) and even if he is, that's where any comparison to Jed fucking Pitman ends. Ed's ace!

Thought he was taking time off after the birth of his first child - which is why he was not on the radio he didn't want to get a call in the middle of a commentary that he had to get to the matternity ward

Maybe it was a one off, because I've heard him on sport bulletins on RS.

Dunno how it worked with yours, but I've found with both my kids that you're not usually required at the maternity ward after the child's born. At least only for a few hours, not months after!

I prefer the old chap on the radio, than Ed's / Phil King boring opinions. God, they can send you a sleep

Each to their own. I quite like the Hadwin/King combo. And I can't think of any circumstances under which I'd put my old chap on my radio. But what you do in the privacy of your own home ....

I also quite like the Hadwin/King combo. I don't mind hodgetts either though.

Mark O'Donnell is the new superstar of Saturday's coverage. He's ace.

Hadwin is the better broadcaster, but Hodgetts is so undeniably biased it's ace

What fb/Batch/jj said. Radio Swindon sports coverage overall is pretty good - we're quite lucky when you listen to some other local radio commentary

God yeah, the local one down here, BBC Somerset is bloody awful, Geoff Friggin twentyman blowing smoke up gasheads and shitty as well as being dire listening.

Everyone's jumping on my O'Donnell loving bandwagon now. I think he's ace to listen to. I just became friends with Hugh McGovern in recognition of my logging into facebook for the first time in weeks.

He played Convoy as the mystery option the other week.

Which leads me to this question to Leefer and Arriba. What the hell is a "cab over Pete with a reefer on"?

Ha ha, and also "eleven long-haired friends of Jesus in a chartreuse microbus". What a lyric!

That Mark O'Donnell seems to put a lot of effort into his show to make it more fun.

And as has been said, he plays some interesting music, not the same old shit.
