I remember when i was younger and me a friend were on our BMXs at the Oasis when some lads came over and started on us. We were only about 13 and they were about 18 or so. They totalled our bikes by throwing them around and smashing them in the ground. Both of frames were cracked and pretty much no parts were salvageable. The police caught them and they went to court and were ordered to replace our bikes. We received checks for a few pence several times over a few months until they just stopped. My pride and joy saved and paid for with months of paper rounds reduced to a few cheques that were pinned to my wall to remind me of the contempt i hold the justice system in. I digress...
