Shame, I rated Ashton and thought he could have been an England regular after a couple of seasons of Prem football. Big, quick, good touch, good finish - like Alan Shearer but potentially better and not a complete cunt. Would have loved to have seen him come through the ranks at STFC, under Ossie and Glenn. Ben Thatcher,is a similar age to Eadie,but probably wasn't a Hoddle style of player and so was snapped up by Millwall. |
